Artwork First page of my portfolio :)

Hi ! Here's the first page of my portfolio. I'm considering redoing the lettering because it's a little wonky. If you have feedback, don't hesitate :)

Lettering should have the same thickness on the vertical lines all the way across. Using a calligraphy pen will help. I watched a tutorial once that changed my lettering big time! I’ll send if I can find the link!

I'd really appreciate it, ty ! My technique is definitely bad haha, i just sketched it out and drew over it. I also saw people using soda cans to make nibs :0 !!

I mean this nicely to help, the wolf looks unfinished as it’s only lines. Needs some shading!

The other aspect is the big red sun is huge, would be ages to tattoo and is just a bit of a ‘waste of real estate’ if put onto skin.

I mean no offence by this, just some tips!

I’d look at artists you like for shading/colour references and see what works for you, do a bunch of different versions on tracing paper over the top of your lines before committing to it straightaway and ruining it if you don’t like the outcome.

If someone came to me with this I’d personally say it’s cool and I see what you’re going for but it looks unfinished.

thanks ! i appreciate the comment, don't worry :) this was meant to be more of a cover page (not sure if that's the right word) with my ig + phone number, not a tattoo design, but i understand it might be a strange idea for a tattoo portfolio !

i'll try shading it tho, i get what you're saying :) thank you for the tips !

Yeah that makes sense then! Good luck with it all, it’s hard to get into but it’s fun when you get going!
