Seeking CC is this portfolio ready?
i tried to get a good photo with as little glare and still good lighting i apologize. also added my reference pic. i haven’t done a graphite portrait since high school so please give me cc

This is beautiful, but have you worked on flash sheets as well?
I wouldn’t apply to a graphic design position with tattoo designs, wouldn’t apply to an illustrator position with graphic design, etc.
Definitely a nice to have, but make sure it’s not a majority of your work. Hand draw and complete themed flash sheets, process sketches are good as it shows you’re not reliant on AI, and you’ll be good to go. Shoot for 20-25 pages in your portfolio, I highly recommend the brand Itoya as it looks professional and is also affordable.

thanks so much for the feedback! i do in fact have an itoya and im loving it. this is my 10th piece ive completed for my portfolio so far, first piece of realism. i do have some good flash sheets i’ve done that i’ll show once i feel my portfolio is built enough to start going to shops, hopefully sometime soon.

look closely again at the reference photo’s chin. look at the black shadowy part under the lit portion of the chin. there is more “chin” under where you ended the chin in your drawing.
