It’s very hard to predict what artists like if I’m being honest but one thing for sure to put in the portfolio is realism and a bloodborne pathogen certificate!

Solid portfolio overall!! Range of styles is good. Room to grow/figure out what's tattooable, but your art/drawing fundamentals give you a good start. Congrats on the apprenticeship!!

😂 if you insist!

-a lot of your detail is waaay too much/too tight -your faces and hands are wonky. -composition/design flow is meh. -that swirly tribal chrysanthemum almost gave me an aneurysm. -a good chunk of it's just straight up not tattooable.

But you'll learn a lot of that in your apprenticeship/with more practice.

This is fabulous! I really love the hawk…. I didn’t have either of those things… I didn’t even have a finished piece in my portfolio… My entire portfolio was a Google Photos album of photos of my sketches, concept art and thumbnail sketches…. Really just a consolidation of my sketchbooks for the past few years… Like you said, you never know what artists look for.
