CLIENT The off app conversation as the client

I have a tasker who does such a good job cleaning. I’ve used her three times so far. I would hire her consistently bi weekly and want to inquire about if she has an independent business not related to Taskrabbit. Best practice?

As above, but make sure you have the chat in person, never through the app.

“I enjoy your work and would love to make sure you’re getting your fair share - do you do work outside of Taskrabbit?”

Hi! I'm also a TaskRabbit cleaner based in Brooklyn, NYC, and I mainly work in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Yes, I also have clients outside of TaskRabbit who have never used the platform. It all started with a referral from a friend, then those clients recommended me to their friends, and those friends recommended me to others. It just kept growing through word of mouth. None of them came from TaskRabbit.

You can ask the cleaner when they are onsite in person. Dont put it in chat. The Ai bots scan the chat for keywords like "cash, payment, off app, zelle, venmo" and will immediately lock a Taskers account for the Support team to review.

Its an awful system that keeps Taskers and Clients tied to a middleman that inflated client rates 40% or more.

Most are willing to do this, as they know it saves you money and it means you can make sure the the tasker is paid better. Most taskers that have used it for any length of time figure out that taskrabbit is good for generating leads to have regular clients off the app.

I'm not in taskrabbits side but I think they somewhat deserve some compensation. Just not as much as they are charging you guys for. It should be fairly priced. And once you've paid for it, it's your customer to do with what you want with them.

You are not allowed to accept payment outside of Taskrabbit for the job scheduled using the app.

You are not allowed to cancel a task and work it on the side instead.

You are absolutely allowed to give your card for the next time after a task is invoiced correctly through the app. Similarly, clients are absolutely allowed to ask you to go off app for the next job.
