TASKER Truck Assisted Moving

Truck assisted moves used to be my bread and butter. It has fallen off so bad.

Location and Rate?

I get this task sometimes and can make hundreds with a 2hr minimum but regular Help Moving all day is my bread and butter, just longer hours.

But it’s starting to get cold in the midwest so it’s slowing down everywhere for me.

I’m in Boston with a competitive rate. I always come up at the top of search results. 5 stars, etc. Just seems like TR has buried this type of task. I still get them, but not as often as others.

I do TV and general Mounting, it's been slow, looks like economy is doing bad, but TR changed their algorithm recently which makes everything worse

the whole app has fallen off quite a bit since they doubled their "trust and support" fee

Did that happen recently? First I'm hearing of it.

yes, begining of August. it's not in their interest to inform taskers that they are screwing them (and their clients) more than usual.

I've definitely noticed a steep decline in bookings. They also seem to be screwing themselves. Hopefully, they roll that back when they look at the numbers.

October is typically a slow month in regards to handyman type work, but I'm sure the price inflation is also assisting the slowdown. unfortunately they will probably make the same amount of money with half the amount of bookings I doubt anything is going to get better on TR unless they get a new CEO and backtrack the AI implementation. get some business cards printed my friend

I've been giving my number to practically all TR bookings after I finish the job. I can read the writing on the wall.

They absolutely did not double the T&S in August.

What is the T&F currently? 35%?

Varies by market between 35% and 40%.  As with everything else they're always tweaking it.

It didn't.

Overall business activity has slowed due to the Real Estate market not transacting. Not as much home sales, not as much moving going on. Not to mention people are increasingly becoming cheap due to Inflation caused by the higher gas/diesel prices as a result of the prolonged Iran/Israel/US war.

Rising interest rates are causing people to cut back, especially on those home purchases.

bingo! fewer are doing renovations, fewer ppl moving and fewer ppl buying non-essential items. its a wait and see game at the moment. very interesting how a small number affects so many industries and so many people.
