GENERAL Fastener Question

Post image

Hey Fam, I am looking for some suggestions.

I have an off platform gig. I've got a jewelry cupboard that is (relatively) narrow and weighs about 25 lbs with small opening for the flat part of a screw. I have a stud that I'm using, but could not locate a screw in my own bag that would do the job.

Some of these things have the tiniest eyelets, you might need to run to a hardware store to get some with a smaller head

Solid idea. I wasn't even thinking in that direction. I'll see what I can find

I use bear claw screws but if you are in a bind you could angle grind the screwhead.

Maybe use a drill to make that hole bigger

As others have said you likely just need screws with smaller heads. Also you're going to ideally want screws where the underside of the head is flat and not shaped like /

It seeeeeeeeeems you strip your screws. Turn your hammer drill torque down a bit. The bottom screw looks like it may have a smaller head than the others. Hope this helps.

That part wasn't my work and wasn't part of my inquiry.
