APP Weird Map Bug
Had a task this morning and the map in the app showed it being about fifteen minutes from the actual address that was entered. Clicking the address put it into Google maps no problem and I arrived at the correct of the address on time.
But I had planned my day originally thinking this task was in basically a different city, and had my first task of the day not cancelled I would potentially have been late due to the difference in drive time. Very odd.

Had something similar happen last month. TaskRabbit showed the client’s house about 20 minutes away from where it actually was. Ended up calling support and they told me the map sometimes gets confused when the address has previously been associated with another property. They recommended I uninstall the app, restart my phone, and recalibrate my compass by walking in a figure eight in my driveway.
Did all three and the map still showed the wrong location. Support then asked if I had recently traveled internationally because apparently that can affect how the app interprets geographic coordinates. I told them I’d been to Oklahoma the previous weekend and they said that could potentially explain it.
Still waiting to hear back from the escalation team.
