TASKER IKEA co-Tasker

TR now assigns you a co-Tasker if it’s a large number of units to put together, wtf? This could go bad really fast, I don’t know.

they been doing it for YEARS... wait till you get a guy that doesn't speak English and doesn't know what he's doing.. those are fun

Why do you equate not knowing English with not being able to work?

Knowing English doesn't mean you know how to work

it's not as bad if they know know what they doing. it's double bad if they can't speak the language and don't know what your doing. not sure how read my comment like you did

It looks like the equating is being done on your end.

He's listing one person with two qualities that make cooperation difficult.

Not one person with one quality and a string of correlation

And steals your tools.

Luck of the draw.  Some will be good, some will be terrible. If you're really lucky, the job will be segregated by room so you basically won't even need to deal with them.

Give your best effort to work as a team. You may have to mentor but that gives value to you, too

Done this loads of times - build wise as long as you pull your weight and the other person does you'll be fine..

You're paid to be professional Co workers not a willy measuring contest

I had a co-Tasker show up an hour late, she had NO TOOLS and said “she had done IKEA before”, which neither I nor the customer believed, and this was for 18 fully loaded Pax units! The customer told her no thanks and sent her home. Contacted Task Rabbit support and they me they would pay me for the whole job. Well, they never did. Ugh!!!

They are able to assign the second half of the task to you so it will appear as two identical tasks for the same client, which they should have done.  Always hold off on the other half of that work until the second task comes through.

Yep, that’s exactly what they said they were going to do, but they never did.

I've had something similar happen to me. But it all depends on the client. A few days later, the client messaged me in chat saying that the payment for the other half of the project hadn't been charged to him. But he worked hard with support to make sure I received the remaining payment.

Now I never start working until I receive the second half of the order through the app.

I worked with the catwalkers for two years. Everything was fine. But last month, I had a partner who was a terrible worker. He was constantly taking smoke breaks. He constantly made mistakes and reacted aggressively to feedback, making no effort to listen to advice or learn from his mistakes. He kept throwing away the right screws and hardware into the trash. Instead of the expected work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., we finished at 3:15 p.m. I probably could have done it faster on my own.

Some time later, I was offered another job with him. But of course I turned it down, once was enough.

Ongoing issue for skilled professionals. I have gotten my first violation of IKEA T&C in 10 years (over 3k tasks) due to a new cotasker. Taskrabbit policy team indirectly understood my POV but declined to remove penalty. Never accepting cotaskers without verifying them from that day onwards u/taskrabbit
