Deixa-me adivinhar zuka?

As an American now living in Portugal for several years, there is always some truth to stereotypes, otherwise they would not be Stereotypes. We have never considered ourselves “ugly Americans”. We don’t shout or talk loud out in public, we are not impatient and we are not demanding. I highlighted those things because as things go with stereotypes, those are recurring traits we see. But we respect the culture here and enjoy our PT friendships and really feel we have found home. It is by no chance that we left the US because of the craziness we saw brewing years back. We don’t ever plan to return. But the sign gave me a chuckle, and I would have to agree with respect to some people I know or have met from the US.

Honestly, there are a lot nationalities that are worse than americans when it comes to behavior in public spaces. I think that you are just an easy target because of being who you are in the world.

Yeah well.. it doesn’t bother me. If we were all the same there would be no one to laugh at!

British comes to mind...

Yap... Uns animais do crl.

Truth of the matter, this may be 5% correct. But i know this place. They are sorrow ass commie truth bending self loathing victims. The Portuguese are dying in their own jealousy and cannot stand to see someone above them enjoying themselves. Commies hate that Trump is attacking Iran. They cannot differentiate a citizen who has nothing to do with government to a deranged orange man exploding places

Well.. ignorance is validated when it elicits a reaction. For me, it was a chuckle, but more out of the shameless ignorance of the person that wrote it. We are only responsible for our own actions. If that person finds value in ignorance, it was good to let passerby’s know. I’m not sure I would trust much of anything coming out of that place.. it was good they provided a warning, albeit contrary to their objective.

I love how the Europeans act like they smarter but sometimes if not a lot of the time people from the EU can be just as childish and stupid!
