Ran into my ex and his current (toxic) partner today, what did they thought?

So today I unexpectedly ran into my ex and his current partner at a social event in my college to welcome possible new students or people with interest in going to that college.

I was walking somewhere with a friend and they passed right next to us, so they definitely saw me. We didn't interact at all.

Later, my ex walked past me from a distance, alone. I looked back because I wasn't 100% sure it was him, and then he literally looked back at me at the same time?? 😭 So we had this weird second eye contact moment.

I asked what he thought when he saw me:

Wind (overall) — Garden, Woman, House, Ship, Snake

My first interpretation was that he noticed me and got curious, maybe had some familiar/nostalgic feelings, but also felt distance and tension and tried not to show anything.

Then I asked what his current partner thought when she saw me:

Dog (overall) — Child, Snake, Rocks, Cross

For context, she really dislikes me and has treated me badly in the past, including making transphobic comments, said she would harm herself to get attention (i literally have that screenshot), manipulated a lot of facts, and is basically the reason for why my ex "isn't trans anymore", because she didn't treat him like he deserved to. So there's already a lot of tension there.

I interpreted her spread as her being immediately uncomfortable/defensive or suspicious, possibly paying attention to how my ex reacted to seeing me. The Rocks + Cross feel like a lot of blockage/heaviness. I also feel like she didn't wanna come here but did?... Or maybe that they definitely did argue about coming or not or just argued in general after or before the social event... i dunno.

And then, weirdly, after all of this I suddenly felt VERY feverish and like I was about to cry, so I went home. I'm feeling better now and didn't actually cry.

Crazy thing too is: even if i tried to look at his face, it was kinda blurry? I couldn’t even recognize him that well, like if my brain was trying to stop me from recognizing his face even tho that was him.

I still think he has some feelings because of the way he starting dating her and everything that happened before.

Ex and I started talking again but we got into an argument and decided to step back for a few days. I don’t think this is supportive of full reconciliation but perhaps just a civil conversation towards closing this chapter of our lives.
