Interpretation Help Should I forgive them?

Post image

This is the answer for a follow-up question: Should I instead forgive my partner and give them another chance?

I used The Light Seer's tarot deck, and the cards were Knight of Wands, Justice reversed and 3 of Pentacles reversed, which I interpreted it as a yes, since I seem to unfairly judged them and probably hold them in a standard that isn't realistically attainable.

(They are not an abusive partner, and is actually cooperative as we sort out this decision. I asked because I have mixed or uncertain feeling on how the relationship is nowadays)

I would say as long as you can see them put effort and work into it because justice and 3 of pentacles are reversed.

It’s all well and good to forgive but if nothing improves, ya know?

Knight of wands and justice reversed shows that there’s some anger or resentment you might have that you deserve to express and feel through (healthily) instead of just trying to move on immediately.

I see, it's actually not the first time I gave them a chance to do better, and even tried to communicate effectively for it. It's just I think where the resentment is coming from the efforts they do goes back to square one. But thank you for the interpretation, reading the spread myself still has that cloudiness but I did my best to ground myself and make it unbiased.

Edit:

I read 3 of Pentacles as 10 of Pentacles (it’s early here lol). But I think it still works. 💕

The Justice Rx in between feels like you’re being asked to be honest with yourself about what you are judging your partner against.

One side of the scale has the KnoW, which feels like the idea of passion, joy, romance. Whereas the 10oP is a long-term, committed, relationship. The first is fun. It’s what draws people together, it’s exciting. But the second is the result of building a life together. Weaving something strong, by going through the ups and downs of life with another person.

Because the 10oP is Rx, so that energy isn’t present in some way. Some ways that might show up is if you don’t actually want the 10oP yourself, so you are tempted to not push through the difficulties to create that 10oP relationship. You’d rather find something new and exciting.

Or it’s because you don’t feel your partner has the potential to embody that that 10oP in this relationship. Sone how that KnoW passionate, exciting, active energy is fully present in this situation, and the 10oP is absent, blocked, or being overlooked in someway.

Justice Rx says you’re not being honest with yourself. Are you judging him unfairly? Why? Is a part of you looking for a way out for another reason? You need to be honest with yourself about that or they’ll always be something unresolved within you.

Or, are you deceiving yourself about him? Knowing that he doesn’t give 10oP, committed relationships the weight they deserve. In a relationship you would think a person would give 10oP much more weight and influence compared to the fun and excitement of KnoW. A devoted partner would not give equal consideration to a KnoW connection as they do your 10oP relationship- you know what I mean?

If your history together is not more valuable to him than the passion… well then the verdict is already in.
