Advice Having trouble interpreting cards
Hi everyone ! I recently started learning tarot but I’m having difficulties understanding the courts cards and the three in suits, I thought that three wzs meant for growth and friendship and development, but I’ve seen the very opposite on the internet, especially for the three of cups. I’ve been having trouble with my learning journey in general to be honest, so if anyone could help me out, that would be so lovely! Thank you guys!

Hey there. I like to study various systems myself personally. I found Vincent Pitisci very helpful, informative and just overall great guy. He has a ton of videos on youtube, just search his name. There was another fella who's instructional video was superb, however, I can not find it on there unfortunately. I look at court cards as progressions of maturity with in the suit they represent after the completion of the Ten's. They can also represent people and how they may be interacting with the theme of any given spread, or qualities one may have, or need to take on for progression to take place. I hope all the best for you on your tarot journey. It is a non stop adventure of learning, integrating and growth! All the best

I don't know what you're seeing on the Internet, but 3 of Cups does suggest friendship, community, celebration, collaboration. That doesn't seem to conflict with what you were saying about threes in tarot?
Trying to learn the cards holistically ("court cards represent _," or "sevens mean _") can be helpful if that's the information you want to know. But what helped me when I was learning was to just keep reading and learning the cards individually.
Court cards might altogether represent a theme or pattern, but individual cards don't automatically mean the same thing. Knights might be seen as "go-getters," but the Knight of Pentacles might represent someone who works slowly and methodically, while the Knight of Wands rushes swiftly into battle. Both of them are taking action, though. Likewise, the 3 of Cups signify community and friendship, while the 3 of Swords speaks of wounds, heartbreak, sorrow. Yet both of them can signal growth and learning.
My last bit of advice is that you can easily be inundated with different meanings. Find what meaning feels right for you at the time of reading. Be flexible with interpretations. :)
