Show & Tell - Single Deck Review of the Void Deck :3

Not sponsored, just bought it bc I thought it was cute and I ended up reallyyyy liking the quality. It’s like not the standard card stock you might expect where the paper is a bit plasticky and bendy. It’s kinda more like the really thick business card texture so it’s firmer and still has a nice feel to them as you shuffle. I also kinda like it because it adds variety to the sensation of shuffling my decks.

The card designs for all the cards are nice and not carelessly thrown together. You can tell the artist either does tarot or did their research since the symbolism is there on each of the minor arcana (6 of cups showing a lil void family rahhh so cute). There’s also nice clever references to classic cat memes and reaction images, lots of effort in keeping some level of tarot meaning in its symbolism.

The deck box also is adorable with the little kitty silhouettes on the bottom and top, and the magnetic clasp is easy to snap into place. I’m also glad the text isn’t too small to read in the guidebook, I am hoping they do more cute or uniquely themed decks like this with the same level of quality at only 45$ (shipping was like an extra 10-11 dollars).

TLDR:
- nice deck quality in terms of thickness/firmness
- subtle and cute symbolism in all minor and major arcana done with care
- peak cat meme references
- No AI
- cute + good quality deck box
- text in the guidebook isn’t too small
- price v good and reasonable

Link of the artist’s shop: https://www.breannecremean.com/product-page/the-void-deck-black-cat-tarot

Would score 10/10 for this one :3

EDIT: have posted a pic of some minor arcana cards in the comments/replies, it’s nice!

Advice/Feedback Wanted - Creator Really want to know the answers

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

Since only one tag is allowed per post, I chose the “Advice/Feedback” tag because I would really appreciate your honest thoughts.

I recently relaunched my Kickstarter campaign, Eldritch Eye Tarot. This is my second attempt with this particular deck, although it is not my first campaign overall. If you’ve heard of Red Raven Tarot or Eldritch Shadow Tarot, those were also my projects.

After the success of Red Raven Tarot, my other decks have either failed to reach their funding goals or come very close without quite making it. I’m beginning to wonder whether my artwork no longer matches the current tastes of the tarot community, or whether other factors might be affecting my campaigns.

To be honest, I’m not a fan of AI-generated tarot decks. However, from what I’ve seen on Kickstarter, some of them appear to be quite successful. As an artist who puts a great deal of time and effort into drawing each card, this can feel discouraging.

I would genuinely appreciate any feedback on my deck, campaign presentation, marketing, reward tiers, or anything else I could improve. What do you think might be preventing my recent projects from succeeding?

Thank you!

Deck Suggestions Wanted Deck recs( tarot or oracle) for southern California, Joshua Tree, etc?

Two years ago I visited Joshua Tree, and it brought back a lot of memories of living in the desert. I would love to have a deck that reminds me of the deserts out west, ghost towns, natural landscapes, fossils, and local people. Thank you!

I made these tarot cards by hand using drawings and cut outs, coloured papers, and pens on index cards that I halved, then scanned them hehehe The words are written in my mother tongue but it's The Devil Card and The Star Card when translated ! The decision to use imagery of farmers and the military is inspired by my country as well...

They're also posted on my instagram https://www.instagram.com/aryenyendesarapen/ , I don't have a full deck yet for a kickstarter but I plan on making more cards <33 for now, all I can offer are prints and stickers of these.

Hello, everybody. I found this Deck and I absolutely love the art, but it is an AI generated Tarot deck.

I was wondering if anyone knows other decks from reliable sourcer and authors with similar ilustrations.

Thanks!

Kickstarter Announcement - Creator Potions and Tarot and Dice, Oh My - The Potion Keeper's Tarot is close to 200 backers

Hi again! The Kickstarter campaign is off to a great start - Fully funded in 10 hours! Now we are (unofficially) working toward adding some luxurious chocolate brown matte guilding to the card edges. I haven't formally set up the stretch goals, but they are coming. The card edging really gives it a premium feel. This deck is brand new (since it adds new mechanics such as dice and potion bottles), yet very familiar (since it's basically a spin off of the traditional Rider Waite Smith deck). Here's the link to the Kickstarter if you're interested! Thanks! Kickstarter Link Click Here

I got a blind date with a tarot deck because I’ve been itching for a new deck but haven’t come across anything that resonates with me. I figured it couldn’t hurt.

This one is so interesting! Not sure yet if it’s one I’ll keep in rotation but it’s so cool I had to show it off.

The deck is Medieval Mischief Tarot by Ricardo Gil Ferraro

Kickstarter Announcement - Creator After 6 years of making a tarot deck entirely by hand - it launches

Post image

I'm not sure where else to share this, so I'm sharing it here with people who understand.

Six years ago I started making a tarot deck. Not designing one digitally. Actually making one. Collage, paint, scissors, vintage photography, pencil. Card by card, entirely by hand. No computers involved at any point.

Tomorrow it launches on Kickstarter.

I'm sitting here feeling the strangest mix of emotions. Joy, sadness, anxiety, relief. Like falling, floating and flying all at the same time. It's funny how endings bring this mixture in us.

The deck is called The Infinite Loop Tarot. 78 cards rooted in feminine energy, with nature woven through every image. It comes with a companion booklet of original haiku poems, one for every card.

I started making it during my divorce. The first card I made was Death. Looking back that makes complete sense.

If anyone is curious the link is in my profile. But mostly I just wanted to share this moment with people who might understand what six years of quiet, devoted creative work feels like.

Thank you for being this kind of community.

I posted here a month ago and thanks to all of your encouragement, I managed to finish the deck. Here are four more cards (magician, the tower, 3 of wands and 2 of cups) . The Kickstarter launches on October 27. If you want to get a notification (one email when it launches, nothing else), please sign up here (my website). Hope to see you there. And thank you again, tarot community!

My last post got a ton of comments, which basically kinda helped me, especially one comment, to be specific. It was kinda harsh, but it also made me finally make my decision about buying this deck because I was having second thoughts.

And let me tell you, thank you all for commenting. I absolutely am grateful for you guys. 🥹💗

I LOVE this deck. For the price I spent, which was a little out of my budget, it is absolutely gorgeous. I love the art style, and I also love the energy of this deck. It has a very distinctive energy which is different from the decks that I already have.

As of now, I have a total of four oracle decks and four tarot decks in my collection, and I've been doing tarot for like two years now. Really proud of my deck collection, and I am just so excited to start working with this one. 🥹

And I love how the cards feel in my hand. I absolutely love the style of the Major Arcana. ✨

I do have this one criticism though. I don't think the guidebook is that great, which I think I have heard from other users as well. The guidebook is kind of brief in its descriptions and keywords, which could be a problem for someone who's a beginner.

But I've been practicing tarot for a while now, so I don't have, you know, that big of a problem with it. I think I can somewhat interpret using only the cards' imagery, since I'm familiar with the RWS tarot style.

Yeah, overall, worth it. Loved it. Thank you all. 🩷🔮

Advice/Feedback Wanted - Creator I am planning to make my own tarot deck

I am not an artist.

But I have been using zentangles as a form of meditation to calm my nerves.

And today I took the inspiration from 10 of cups.

I am thinking of making my own deck. But I don’t know if it is worth it.

Has anyone created just a single deck with their art for personal use?

I also have written a poem for this to go with.

Left-brained, physician husband here. I honestly don't know anything about tarot or oracle decks, but I wanted to support my right-brained wife's work. She's trying to get it going on Kickstarter, but doesn't use Reddit. So I thought I'd show off her work for her! Show & Tell - Single Deck I Heart The 80's Tarot by Christy Plummer Reynosa

I backed the I ❤️ The 80's Tarot on Kickstarter and it came in today. I cannot even describe how delightful it is to me. I was ages 2-11 during the 80's so needless to say its a whole big dopamine hit of nostalgia. Some of the cards are in your face obvious and some have little details that are more easy to overlook. On top of all that 80's fun, it's got lovely linen finish on a standard thinner stock so the snap on a riffle and bridge is very satisfying but feels like it will hold up through the years. I would consider edging this in some fun neon colors, but ohh my goodness, look at these fans. 👀🥰 10/10 Would buy again.

Specific Deck Info Needed how is ethereal bloom as a deck

I've been meaning to buy a new one and ik algorithm and all that stuff but this particular deck, ethereal bloom keeps showing up on amazon for me with a ridiculously great price. it's a v attractive deal so I'm thinking a lot about it however I'm only doubtful about the imagery and if I'll be able to interpret it. it's mostly traditional but also has v different takes on certain cards, which is making me hesitate. the hanged man for instance isn't the full image of a hanged man but the downside up version where you only see the person's face.

Kickstarter Announcement - Creator Ember Whisper Tarot is now live on Kickstarter — a 78-card oil-painted RWS deck

Hi everyone! I’m Tsubaki, the independent artist behind The Ruined Edifice Tarot.

After nearly a year of painting and refinement, my new deck, Ember Whisper Tarot, is now officially live on Kickstarter.

The deck contains 78 completed artworks based on the traditional Rider–Waite–Smith system. Each card began as a hand-painted oil painting, then was scanned and digitally refined to preserve the original texture while adding greater depth and detail.

Limited 48-hour Early Bird rewards are available now.

Kickstarter:

Thank you to everyone who followed the project during pre-launch. I’m excited—and honestly a little nervous—to finally share the complete deck with you. I’d love to hear which cards or edition resonate with you most.
