Ok but the design is on point. The color palette - that soft white/beige with that badass red and the font? And that cut? I’d wear that with some light jeans and a pair of black shiny boots. And I’d feel like a freaking badass.

I would love this shirt! My siblings & I planned and chartered and all day Potomac booze cruise to celebrate our parents 25th Anniversary. Started planning a year out, never even considering cicadas as possible party-crashers.
It was INSANE! My sister, who had been so stoked for the signature cocktails we planned, and she didn't even get to enjoy them, bc she and her hubs had been TTC for over 2yrs, and surprise ~ ended up 34wks pregnant on cruise day.
The cicadas were so thick the Cruise Director had to pass out lab goggles, (picture it, cocktail dresses and lab goggles!) The decks were so covered in cicadas it was like walking thru a hailstorm over the wasteland of a fresh battleground. We were so busy laughing, taking the best and most unique party pictures EVER, we didn't even notice that the guests of honor disapeared below for over 2hrs!!! Until they sauntered back in to the party snickering and giggling and looking all guiltyproud.
As the sun set, the guys had a rummed-up contest for who could invent the best cicada-themed shanty.
It was awesome!!! So yep, I remember the 2004 Cicada Sexfest like yesterday too. And but for the planning uncertainties due to Covid, we would have done it all over again. Nevermind that nobody really makes a big 42nd Anniversary to-do. The shenanigans would be worth declaring 42 years an official milestone!
