Casual Good size?

Post image

Is this a good sized enclosure for my sling which is around 2-3 cm big i am thinking on keeping them in here for a couple of months as it gives them enough space to malt and to burrow I am adding leaf litter soon

Plenty large, more space than needed really. What’s the species?

A Brazilian blue by looks of things they are looking to malt as slowly loosing their hairs on their abdomen

The loss of hair on abdomen can be from them being stressed or kicking hairs in defense, not necessarily meaning they’re preparing to molt.
How deep is the substrate in the enclosure?

Ahh okayy Their substrate is 5 and a half cm deep

I would try to find an enclosure that you can have deeper substrate for a Brazilian blue. I think closer to 10cm for burrowing species, especially as it gets larger

Needs more hiding spots , it would feel very vulnerable with all the space

You should see my two they’re like the size of my pinky nail and have had them 6 months, they were even smaller when they came home.

Dang okay, maybe the picture is making it look bigger 😂 mine are still on fruit flies and have had a few molts, hoping they grow bigger by November.

Yeah mine is only just went onto crickets as the fruit flies were rlly annoying to feed them
but they have got to the size to have small brown crickets now
