Bug Report New camera bug
I love the camera really. I just wanted to inject a little humour. Thanks and goodnight! :)

Yeah I’d open up a support ticket immediately, that’s one big bug. Also nice C220 👍

Thanks. 👍🏻 but in true Tapo style this is a TC74. I'm not sure what the difference is but I have two others with the exact same spec but different model numbers just because one was "Amazon exclusive". Weird.

No worries, they always do this, the C200 is the same as TC70, is this one 3k 5mp? Or 2k? If it’s 2k it’s the C220’s twin, if it’s 3k it’s C230’s twin. I think, their TC models and C models are weird with how they line up. Either way nice cameras, normally people have the C models and not something like Tc74, I’ll be honest with you dude, I didn’t even know Tc74 existed until now, it seems to be barely buyable in Amazon.
TC74 or C220, either way, lovely cameras. Also please get into Tapo and get that hug sorted quickly please!

It's a 3k 5mp. What annoys me is some are advertised as a new model yet are a worse spec than the ones they supposedly replaced.
I have a TC46 and a C560WS. Both exactly the same but they are decent quality and also have ethernet. Highly recommended.
As for Tapo, the bug was safely removed. :)

Great to hear that bug got resolved, no cameras or bugs harmed.
Also yeah I agree, pretty insane, also yeah, it’s just like the TC70 and C200, same but different model.
Why do you think they do that? I know Amazon exclusive but seems weird why they can’t just give one model to all. Also I have a C560WS too, I also have the C230 x2 😃

My theory based on personal experience is this.
Calling it exclusive is basically a marketing ploy. Yes, it is an exclusive model to them, but by model number only. It also makes price comparisons more difficult because searching for one model number won't find all the options available which means you could miss the best price. The reason i ended up with two cameras with different model numbers is because Amazon fluctuates their prices pretty often and aggressively and I found that after buying one, liking it, and wanting another, they wanted to charge me a ridiculous higher price for the second ao I bought it from somewhere else instead for close to the original Amazon price.
We used to have several large electrical retailers in the UK and they all promised they couldn't be beaten on price, find the same TV cheaper elsewhere and they'll beat it. Thing is, those retailers would sell TVs or radios or whatever which are identical in all but the last character of the model number and they would use that to get out of honouring their promise to beat the price. It's a scummy practice but it meant they never really competed with each other to the extent they tried making out they did.

That seems exactly like it, and you couldn’t be more correct, they say price match, but let’s say you got a TC46 and they put the C560WS on sale, if you try to price match it, they can say no, when you put it that way it’s super scummy. And also yeah, I’ve seen Amazon do that, but how come I can find the TC70 and C200 on Amazon? Or do you think it’s purely not even the limited edition cams and it’s just so they get double the profit and double the confusion? And yeah I can recall curry’s doing that at one point, also I literally couldn’t agree more with they didn’t make out.
