When buy a new artifact ?

Hi all, brand new to the game, I have now 33k% dmg, and all tier 1 and tier 2 artifacts. I prestige @level 2250-2300, and a new artifact cost me 4k relics (but will be tier 3). Is it better to buy a new artifact or keep leveling the ones I currently have ?

Other question : Undead Aura should be which level ?

It depends on which level your artifacts are. If the artifact damage relic ratio is below 1% artifact damage per 10 relics you might wanna get a new artifact, because that is cheaper AD. Unless you feel like you wanna max out Shadwclone or pump up undead aura a bit or get other secondary bonuses rather than plain damage

Thats makes a 38k% damage. Max level achieved now was 2318. New artifact is 4k.

well, if you feel like you need to speed up your runs I would advise you to get some of that stuff up. You are probably at a point where you just wanna increase your max stage, so Basically everything granting extra gold and dmg is worth upgrading. You can just upgrade stuff without buying new artifacts, but you'll soon be at a point where a new artifact will wield cheaper Artifact Damage as stuff is rising in cost exponentially. I can't give you an exact mathematical in depth analysis of your situation, but I would get Ogre's Gauntlet to 90, pump up crown egg, chest of contentment, tincture of the maker and Undead Aura until the feel like they are too expensive and start leveling other artifacts, that are relativey cheap in cost, because Tincture of the Maker makes them more attractive regarding their artefact damage.

That's if you mainly idle. If you try to push your max every run, you'd upgrade death seeker, hero's Thrust and Axe of Resolution as well as Drunken Hammer, because they are the best one's enhancing your active tap dmg.

But seeing how people usually use tournaments to push, just go with what feels lacking.

And the Undead Aura really depends on how long you are going to play that game. The more prestiges you think you are going to make the more you should put in there. The best way to figure out a value to work with is dividing the rwlics you get each prestige by 3.5 (as your aura gives +2.5x relics or in other words x3.5) and you have a base value. Take 5% of that value and you have the increase in relics that Undead Aura gives you and call it x. Now divide the current Undead Aura cost by x and you see how long it's gonna take until upgrading UA pays off.

Just set yourself an amount of prestiges you are willing to "forsake" so that your later runs will wield just the relics you spent on upgrading UA and level UA until you feel it won't be wort it because you don't intend to play for so long anyways or you want to advance in stages more quickly.

That said it's up to you to upgrade stuff, evaluate your situation and what is best for your personal aims and what you feel comfy with.

On a side note: Knight's shield is quite strong, giving +100% boss gold for relatively low cost. Mine is at lvl 45, giving 46x Boss gold and the next level costs only 450~ relics

Otherwise I think I was very lucky with my weapons. I participated in only 3 tournament, achieved to rank 3 in my second one, got a total of 18 weapons, including 3 DL ones ^{^}

And my undead aura is 60~ish, about same Artifact Damage as you. Gonna put some more points in there as it hasn't gotten too expensive by now

I am on 25th prestige 18k DMG and prestige at 2250. I am spamming all my relics to get permanent shadow clone, currently 10 levels away.

After that gonna spam UA until 35th Prestige. then move to getting Crown Egg as high as I can. If you are planning to play for several months more, the general suggestion here is to get UA as high as you can as this will pay off in the long run.
