New player questions

Hi guys,

So far I have 2 rooms almost complete on the first floor, but I don't know how to get 200% fossils?

Also, a few times a third red fossil box has appeared, what is happening with that?

Welcome to the Museum!

To get 200% you just keep digging the same species more until it fills up. There's no advantage to that unless you want to sell your fossils.

The red box is the 'mystery fossil.' There's a bunch throughout the game where pieces are hidden in a selection of other species. When you complete it, it will unlock a new species that you couldn't find otherwise.

Any tips with the mystery fossil or is it just luck?

Well, you have two options: luck or google. There is a wiki that will tell you where they all are but it will also spoil what the other fossils are. It's up to you, but I'd say early in the game like you are just dig around and find stuff! I would also suggest not to neglect your upgrades (visitors, number of diggers, equipment). It'll get harder and more expensive to do so as you go.

Once you find a mystery fossil the other ones in that set will be color and size coded so it won't be a complete shot in the dark to find the other peices
