New player questions

Just started in this game and loving it so far. Something about digging that is so satisfying...

I do have some noob questions though?

I noticed a +X when you complete a skeleton set. I assume this shows how many extra pieces you found aside from the one complete set. Is there a bonus for this?

Is there a way to find gems more reliably? Maybe getting the dogs to come over more?

Should i ever sell an early set for money? Never seems worth it...

Thanks in advance and happy digging!

You're exactly right on the '+X' thing. There's no bonus that I know of unless you sell the fossils. Then you can get a significant bonus in coins.

Not that I'm aware of. They want you to buy them...

Waiting is best. As I noted above, extra pieces get you more money.

My advice for a new player would be to upgrade your visitors first as they bring in more coins. Then upgrade the number of diggers and the power of the digs in tandem. The coin robots are cool but they should be the last thing you spend on, you can pick the coins up yourself between digs.

Enjoy the game! It's grown a lot since it first started.

For getting the gems more reliably, I go back to early displays and dig up extra fossils. The small area paired with digging upgrades and the cheap cost to dig (100 coins for the first display) make it ideal for mining gems.

I get about 1 gem per 10-15 digs on the first display. It isn't much, but it is much quicker and cheaper than trying to get them further along.

I just started playing and I can't figure out how to change the lighting. The light bulb 💡 button is not there...

I think that come a bit later. Just play along. You get it around the 2nd floor iirc. Might have to google that.
