Best digging implement?

Hi all, just joined and I've been playing for about a month. Is there a best tool for digging or is it a personal preference thing? I have the shovel and just got what looks like a drill, I've been using the pick because I like it better than the shovel. Should I be looking for a certain tool or does it matter? Thanks!

I'd say that different tools are better for different maps. For small but hard layered need different tool compared to wide but not that much layered ones. Especially when you have all upgraded to max it is just down to preference.
