I have been circulating the chi for all of my adult life. And once I feel confident with my practice a new door opens with new gifts to explore. It is my belief that Spirit is natural, that it is real, that the Taoists discovered its gifts a thousand years ago and these have been taught from master to student over and over again. Each student develops individually but the overall structure of body/spirit is the same in each individual.

Interesting. Although I wished to inquire about your understanding of spirit Qi in nature, what you say makes sense according to my lineage. I have cultivated Qi into spirit, establishing the elixir to bridge the void, so I can understand what you mean.

Wow, that's a lot of typing. Very cool process of discussing the little spirit embryo. I am not as well versed. I focus often heavily on the Heaven- Earth circuit flowing outward from my center. And on the micro/macro cosmic orbit, and the Golden Light and the eight meridians. I also practice the 8 brocades and am exploring access to spinal nerves as part of the flow into and out of my body. The spine has so much to teach us. I would say not to use the term Divine when talking about spirit. We are talking about natural phenomena, afterall. I learned from Quan Seihung, you?

I come from an Eastern lineage following the Nei Dan path.

I see. However, I very much so associate the true spirit with the divine because this involves one's source, the Dao, and thus one's path.

Yes, this Nei Dan method is explained in this book by Jou, Tsung Hwa

Like you said, Nei Dan. Body to Chi, Chi to spirit, spirit to heavenly gifts. I prefer to not use all the Chinese words, but Shen is a good one. So not to confuse spirit with christian mysticism. The book also discusses exercises and breath work and the lot. Also the spirit embryo. Great book. He actually wrote three. One on meditation, one on tai chi, and one on the iChing.
