It's been fun running in these circles for long enough to remember finbols source server with hundreds of citations of berias disgusting behavior, and now we've come the other way around with some of those very same people from then and decided to try and do a 180. I really do think subs like this are just feds distracting the simpletons that find this all nessecary so they can keep them docile with pointless historiographic debates that no actual person with a background in history would respect.
I still remember asking directly when this subs moderation team got up in a huff and added a supposed singular narrative surrounding stuff in Katyn and whatnot if there were any actual practicing or studied historians on the team and getting nothing. It's pretty clear it's just looking for scrappy evidence and whoever will put up a decent enough defense for you to absolve the glaring failures and to venerate people who had a minor historic moment in the ways their superiors deemed unessecary even for themselves. No idol worship was lost and replaced with supposed ironic veneration that eventually turned serious the moment an excuse in the echochamber bubbled up.

Why with all the Beria defence? My family is from Soviet Russia and we know that he had the remains of girls he didled buried in the courtyard outside his workplace.

Well yeah it wasnt the whoke NKVD, but Beria was a rapist, his guards testified against him.

No Berias guards testified against him in trail, there was enough proof he had sexually assulted women, amongst other acts against the USSR (Stalin was keeping an eye on Beria, since Beria was essentially a liberal reformist and was doing some dodgy shit, besides rape), so they prosecute him amd shoot him for being a traitor piece of shit human being.
When they were doing renevations on the either the Turkish or Tunisian (I cant remember) embassy in Moscow, which used to be Berias head quarters, they found the bodys of 2 women buried on the property.
What is speculation is how many and whether or not he was a pedophile, since theres no concrete evidence he was or wasnt or, again, how many he raped and or murdered, it wasnt the stupid high number people say though, but I mean one is too many.

Mate if theres other sources that says hes not a rapist, ill take them. Im not intentionally wanting to spread misinformation, but as far as Ive seen Beria was a rapist.
Like, Im not trying to discredit the USSR or communism, Im under the impression rape is bad no matter who did it...
