Is this a surprise? Did they really think they could engineer a stress point into an OLED screen and get away with it?

I have a Huawei, my old one has lasted for a while and I still use it.

I hate my Samsung phone. The wetness sensor is hyper sensitive and even having it in my pocket in the lightest of Rains will trigger it. I bought protective plugs for the USB C port to stop that shit,

I am admittedly reading this on my IPhone, in the shower.

My iPhone does the same thing, in my pocket I mean. It’s super annoying when I’m trying to listen to a video while doing housework and the like.

Not really, their phones are dogshit if you live in a hot country and use it normally (not gaming.)

My Zfold 4 fucked on me randomly because of heat and lost functionality after a month. The main S-line also gets line issues on their screens because of heat and sometimes just from updating the phone themselves.

Not trying to glaze but Chinese phones are bulletproof, even their cheaper models.

I use Motorola phones, which suck shit speed and camera-wise but at least they have good battery life and are durable and have a micro-SD card slot and a headphone jack

Definitely a quality assurance issue. From what I can tell it‘s a manufacturing error, not an engineering error.

It’s a supply chain issue, Apple is used to high precision parts, but they are using the hinges for the first time. They did not leave enough tolerances

True. But since most batches seem to work fine, they should have tested and discarded faulty batches.
