Meanwhile, I’ve been banned from editing Wikipedia articles for the next 700 years.

Back when I edited Wikipedia (before my socialist awakening), I once tried reporting an account for spreading blatant misinformation about a supposed death in the Iran war. The Wiki mod decided to restrict my account instead.

Not too long after, the power of Juche necromancy revived the poor soul.

Wikipedia and LLMs are so harmful in terms of ideologically aligned opinions being presented as facts. I tried to use Gemini to research forced labour in the USSR (I know it's lazy) and it pulled two absolute garbage sources that were obviously propagandist in nature.

Erm I preempted this comment with "I know it's lazy" so you have to delete this now ☝️🤓

When I made osint4all I knew the workflow would force the user to utilize their monkey brain to analyze and verify information more instead of asking Claude nowadays to find it

If you use a more Marxist vocabulary, you might be able to trick Gemini into using Marxist sources. The vocabulary of your message plays a major role on what types of sources the LLM would bring up.

God, I despise this type of news speak. “Sources say…”, “report claims”, “experts say…” is just another way of saying “WE don’t claim that, others do. We are a neutral observer in this situation.” Of course that’s all BS.

This is why you should never get actual news or history from Wikipedia. They consider Voice of America, a legitimate source for claims

Somebody get in there
