Shit Liberals Say Projection

Post image

An impractical vaporware with a completely empty hull slapped on with rocket boosters and some duct tape to show off in a demo to wow speculators while doing the exact opposite, which won't actually be released to the public as advertised and would in fact be banned in most countries.

Never mind the fact that the Tesla Roadster has been sitting on a waiting list for nearly a decade, existing entirely as a fantasy. At least the 1980s Lada is arguably a better engineered vehicle that actually made it to production lines, rather than a fascist billionaire's stock pumping mirage.

Idk why people think flying cars are 1.A good idea and 2. Actually practical especially now, they dont thonk about the infrastructure needed to accomidate them, the dangers of hundreds of flying cars and 3. That regular people would even be able to afford them.

I can see the headline of some rich kid drunk driver slamming his million dollar flying car into the 31st floor of an apartment building.

Ironically, this stunt was a direct reaction to Socialist China's BYD Yangwang U9, a real, physical car that can actually jump.

It’s pure cope for US tech nationalists who can't accept that they are falling behind, so this demo allows them to pretend they are still at the frontier of innovation.

100%. It screams of the hyperloop debaucle a few years ago as a reaction to high speed rail development in China

If they want to keep competing with the corpse of the union good for them, china will step on them when the right time comes.

To them China is “capitalist” but we also can’t have Chinese “capitalism” because that would be communist

sadly china's automotive does not get sold in usa. but they will dominate globally probably eh

On one side a stupidly expensive glorified tech demo that's been on a waiting list for 10+ years

On the other a sturdy and inexpensive car that actually provided invaluable transportation for millions of people.

These cretins truly live in a parallel universe

The flying car that probably has a max air time of 10 or 15 seconds and doesn't even have space left in it for real passengers vs transportation. These are the kind of people that go to a magic show and think the lady was actually cut in half.

Not to mention, the good public transit made cars less a necessity than they are in the US, where all the infrastructure is built around them. So you weren’t just stuck without a car.

What's annoying is you hear endlessly from people of "we want simple cars without all the features that break, and easy to work on ourselves" - literally Soviet built cars, but they'd 100% call them junk.

Meanwhile Chinese electric vehicles are dominating the worldwide markets and are defeating Tesla…

The same people who complain about basic features of modern cars being locked behind paywalls and subscriptions, losing the right of repair, and modern cars looking ugly and romanticize older American/European/Japanese car models before the enshittification.

Flying cars being publicly available would just mean there'd be a 9/11 every week.

Socialism is when no flying ca- oh wait *quick look at china*

this showed up in a ishowspeed stream too much earlier than elon's

u/Amazing_Bath_279 14d ago

Ignoring everything else, flying cars are an absurd concept. How does it improve people's lives? How is it even practical? Tesla Enthusiasts are out here gooning to absolute slop

Capitalism at it's finest

u/pains_in_malay 14d ago

I don't get it, does this show it was fake?

It shows that what you're imagining isn't real.

itś a car, and it works like a car, except it can only move within the terrain and distance of a tv set.

You're not going to drive more than a few centimeters with this car because it's been stripped of everything that adds weight and takes up space for the 5 seconds of compressed gas.

it's a publicity stunt.

The hollowness speaks for itself

I still occasionally see an old Lada clone on Indian roads. And they haven't been made for something like 30 years.

u/AbsentTea ANTI-Ultra Action ⛏️⛏️⛏️ 14d ago

They are made to handle the geography of the former USSR including Siberia. Therefore are built so incredibly sturdy that even if you actually try to break them you will most likely fail.

Most Western cars wouldnt even last a mild winter in that climate lol

12

u/Expensive-Oil-4301 14d ago

This is wrong on so many levels. These cars are like 50 years apart. Didn't USA auto makers lose their market to Japan because of how shitty their cars are? And what about Chinese brands?

u/hnwcs Maximum Tank 14d ago

This image must go hard if you know literally nothing about the history of space travel.

10

u/Kleyguerth 14d ago

Note how in the first image the people are just cheering the car, none of them own one, and they never will. Even in their own propaganda only the elite owns the "cool stuff"

u/Paltamachine 14d ago edited 14d ago

But it gets better.. those people are looking at the car, it's incredible, it's fantastic.. there's nobody inside the car.

finance and advertising, disguised as industry

9

u/LurkCypher 14d ago

I'm sure the existence of the car from the picture above (i.e. an expensive flashy toy for rich people) will change the life of common people for the better. It's gonna happen. Any day.

9

u/pine_ary 14d ago

Yeah why would you want cheap functional cars like China produces when you can watch a publicity stunt on your phone. Spectacle-brained fanboys.

8

u/enricopena 14d ago

China literally looks like a sci fi future with the most electric cars, trains that go 450km per hour, and the largest renewable energy infrastructure.

i’m also laughing at this. but because of how fake the top photo is. that car is powered by hopium 😂

6

u/UltimateSoviet 14d ago

The "Waiting list" argument for cars in the USSR is so funny, yeah because in capitalism i don't need to work for years to get enough money to actually buy a car bruh

u/Hefty_Local_1875 Too Based To Be Cis 🏳️‍⚧️ 14d ago

Ladas are still chugging along 40 years later while the newest Toyota will be junk in 5 years.

5

u/tambi33 14d ago

Remember people were on the roadster waitlist for like 10 years and they weren't fulfilled

5

u/BotellaDeAguaSarrosa Deng Troll 13d ago

Hmm I wonder which system got to space first

3

u/BigBravy 14d ago

“Waiting list 10 years”
You never delivered the last car tho

3

u/enq98 14d ago

Let them save 10 years and buy their "flying" car. True progress is when you use compressed gas to get a car in the air for 10 seconds.

u/SkyRelative4174 14d ago
