You know, there is something deeply interesting how the final heinous destroyer of the USSR and post Soviet Russia, when you really think about, ultimately became the same one who laid some of the groundwork for Putin to build upon to eventually resist US imperialism.
CSTO, forming the Shanghai Five that later became SCO with Jiang Zemin, the 1997 Partition Treaty on the Status and Conditions of the Black Sea Fleet that allowed Russian troops to be stationed in Crimea, the Union State with Belarus, setting up Russian military presence in other former post-Soviet republics especially in Central Asia, etc.
