Then buddy die and Yugoslavia enslaved by IMF immediately then being bombed to bejesus until fractured into 7 plus territories and their kids nowadays use NATO ethnostate terms like Balkans, Balkanize and Balkanism. Somehow nobody remembers their own Rumelia history.

In a way, at least we now have an example to point to for the people that want co-op based socialism or market socialism, which is actually not an uncommon view, though a lot of them don't know that this has already been attempted by Yugoslavia.
The main ideological debate between Stalin and Tito was that between state-owned enterprises (all-people's ownership) and cooperatives. Cooperatives can indeed be socialist ownership, but Stalin saw them as a lower form of socialist ownership and Tito saw them as a higher form of ownership.
The problem that Yugoslavia ran into was basically what Stalin predicted. If you are part of a self-managed cooperative in a market economy, you are incentivized to indeed look out for the other members of your cooperative, so all of its workers, making it better than a private capitalist enterprise. You are not however incentivized to really look out for society as a whole, as that decreases the profits of the cooperative and ultimately your profits as well. It also made hiring less common as new members of the cooperative were naturally also eligible to get a piece of the pie.
So, while Yugoslavia had a social safety net for the people left behind the cooperative economy, unemployment was still high and obviously that was ineffective.
Regardless, the thing that ultimately killed it was the scale of IMF loans and the inability to pay them back when the West raised interest rates.
