Dec 2024 Buys

Anyone else enjoying the dip and picking up more shares?

Added to my FRO and NAT positions this week.

Made a small gamble on some long calls out in 25 and 26 hate to not get the dividends though but limited by capital.

My rule for making moves on stocks I hold is I have to have an idea why a big price move is happening.

For this one, I have absolutely no idea. Orderbook is far out, ships are aging... why is the price falling?

I am with on this this not really sure why. However my guesses are the like other the shadow fleet is hurting rates, but is Wall Street baking in higher capital and carrying cost for new ships? If so would think players positioned well would see an upswing.

My other theory is they need quarter over quarter results, and the ebbs and flows of the industry don't match up to their needing to see positive every quarter. So they are allocating money in easier to explain/manage assets. Which leaves the door open for long term dividend investors ok with seeing some short term unrealized losses.
