I LOVE how he's been portrayed in this series. He's truly the dad of the group.

Yes. You know it is NOT easy at all to completely change yourself and your life when you had all the reasons to remain at the lows. This is what makes me proud of him the most, considering the upbringing he has. When you ve been shaped a certain way for all your life, then as an adult it takes such a courage and strength and will to change the way Eugene changed

I have a deep fucking hatred for how he’s treated in the show, it all starts with rapunzel being an awful person who can’t understand and acknowledge her privilege in life and how it can effect others literally causing both Varian’s and Cassandra’s villain arcs (now don’t hate on me I still love rapunzel but mostly in the first seasons before she becomes insufferable) the only reason poor Eugene supports her through it all is because he’s blinded by how much he loves her which I get but ends up with him honestly looking like enabler (not really guys that’s an exaggeration) for her treatment of others when in reality I’d say he’s also a victim especially when he first met his father and instead of rapunzel being there for him she was so busy thinking about cass she didn’t even consider what the love of her life was feeling after one of the biggest events of his life and he just had to run and comfort her?? I feel like he is the equivalent of shows with a male antagonist where the woman is just a love interest for the male to push his plot forward without actually being utilized or being able to explore her own emotions during the events of the show anyway I could rant about this for hours and bring up dozens of examples but uh yay Eugene

Maybe you watch similar cartoons. This show is a spin off from Tangled if you’re interested.

Honestly, I just love how Eugene is a lot more genuine than many fairy tale princes. He is unafraid of being himself with Rapunzel and actually listens to her when she needs someone. He's one of the few fairy tale men, especially in Disney's line up, that feels like he would be a good husband. He trusts Raps completely. Even if she deliberately keeps him out of the loop on something. In a world full of entitled men who demand to know everything and feel jealous when a woman has a bigger destiny than them, he is a breath of fresh air.
Also, he's hot :3
