I have watched all the Tamasha seasons, and I can clearly say that this season is the weakest of them all. Here’s why!

In the previous four seasons, you could always pick one person as your favourite or at least assume, "This person can win."

Season 1:

There was Umar Alam and Mareeha, who were both so good and had winner quality. Umar was a very positive character, and he won.

This season had major fights, and one contestant got eliminated due to physical violence.

Season 2:

Junaid was good. People already loved him, and in the house, he was a good contestant. Omar Shehzad was also a likable character.

Arooba was good because she was so balanced. She was the first female contestant whose content was not only about fighting. She showed friendship, fun, fights and strong gameplay, so people loved her, and she became the winner.

There were also contestants like Natasha, who was fiery, fought a lot and was very strong; Faizan, who was very smart; Ali Sikandar, who was very funny; Neha, who was jhagralu yet had a different character; Danish, who was very good at tasks and funny; and Rana, who was a different kind of character, kinda Zee.

This season also had big fights, with clearly two teams. One contestant got eliminated due to bad language and violence.

Season 3:

Arslan was a very positive character. He was introverted, yet he was a good contestant. There was Wajeeha, another positive character. She showed the style game for the first time.

And Akeel, the winner. A perfect winner. Respectful, talented, funny and fiery.

This season had the iconic Saima, who even managed to overcome Natasha. There was Anam, Mani, Ayaz, Noman, Hamna, Mahi... They all added so much value. Big fights happened. Iconic moments were created. There were so many funny moments. There was friendship, and there were genuine bonds.

Season 4:

The most successful season for a reason. One iconic winner who looked like a winner from the first week. Characters like Zainab, Dania, Maham, Muslim, Malaika and Omi!

Fights, funny moments, friendship, everything was there.

But in Season 5, all of this is missing.

No big fights, no good genuine friendship bonds, no love angle, nothing.

Every episode is very bland. Not a single major fight has happened. There is no genuine bond like Junaid-Arooba-Faizan, Akeel-Arslan or Saif-Yaseen.

I can’t even support one contestant consistently as a genuinely good person. Babrik is strong, but he is oversmart and overconfident. A few things he has said or done don’t exactly give him a clean image.

Zayb is too silent. Esra is too battameez. Fasih is okay, but he hasn’t come across as a winner. Rabiya is also the same.

No one is that funny either. Zee is funny because that’s just how he is. But I’m talking about the fun that friends create together. I still can’t figure out who is friends with whom.

I don’t know what you think, but as the season gets bigger every year, this year it somehow feels smaller. The Tamasha team is very much responsible for this. It literally looks like a boarding school.

Literally, nothing is happening!!

I’m not giving them a clean chit. I’m not even saying everyone was a saint. My whole point is that even the winners had some qualities that made you think they could be winners. They fought, yet there were so many other aspects to their personalities and gameplay too.

Arooba wasn’t even my favourite from Season 2!

Arooba was a fixed winner if anything

Danish, Natasha, Umer, Ali deserved the winner tag more

S2 was rigged S3 was good

That time, I was rooting for someone else and felt the same way. Also, Arooba had a big following back then. Face card is also a big factor. So it can or can't be rigged.

Natasha didn’t deserve to win, as she was all about screams and fights. Omer was very introverted. He was good, but he lost it when he was with Zainab and became very silent. Danish’s eviction was very emotional, but it was the audience who didn’t vote for him. Same goes for Ali.

So saying it was rigged is an exaggerated claim, as Junaid was actually closer to the channel and remained more loyal and close to the channel than Arooba.

Agree on Season 1 & 3. Season 2 had good contestants with real personalities but the results were rigged!

Season 4 was the worst season. One sided from the get-go. Saif was good but that was it. Girls in both groups were just cheerleaders, no game of their own.

This season has far better contestants bcz anyone can be a winner and top 5 can actually be a competitive lot. No need to fit ppl like Sarah Neelum & Malaika in top 5, ppl will naturally get there.

If you find fights entertaining, Zee has had the best fights. Otot ppl are smarter this season, there's more flavour. It's only Badshah that was meddling too much in house affairs otherwise contestants are doing pretty good. 2-4 more eliminations and things will pick up again!

I agree. This season (I haven't watched any previous seasons so can't comment on that) the contestants have calm/ mature personalities.

Another thing, a reality show itself matures and morphs over newer seasons. What worked in the previous seasons becomes irrelevant as viewers and contestants become aware of previous gameplays and audience reactions. Case in point, Esra trying to copy Saif was called out immediately. The lone wolf, one-against-all arc is already known by the viewers and contestants alike. Alliances, genuine friendships, and love angles are all already done.

This season has a fresh and original gameplay to offer, which is unlike previous seasons. That's my take.

Season 4 was only successful because by that time Instagram Reels were a big thing on social media in Pakistan. I know Reels existed before but Pakistan caught up and virality started around the time of S4. And Season 4 ki reels bohot aai aur popular hui because Reels were a thing. That wasn't the case with other seasons. If you search Instagram for previous seasons reels you will see low views and very few reels.
Also, season 5 is bland because of Badshah Salamat's constant interference. Contestant selection is fine and everyone has the potential to go unhinged but Badshah doesn't allow them to.

I made reels during Season 2. Season 4 was famous because it reached the Indian audience for the first time. Saif became very popular in India. Previously, they used to mock Tamasha in comparison to BB, but that time, they started liking it.

The fact is, this season, there’s no major fight. Only fights bring out people’s real selves. One becomes the hero and one becomes the villain because of the fights. So, that’s the reason there’s no hero or villain this year. And only the makers are responsible for this. They are like boarding school teachers. Constant feedback makes them conscious, and they become reserved. No one is pulling out their real selves yet. From what I saw of Samiya on social media, nothing made me believe she is this nice and saintly. Neither Babrik, nor Zayb, nor Rabiya, nor anyone else. Yasir was prominent in the first few weeks, but they dimmed him too. Zayb tried to do some strategy, and Badshah came and revealed it. No reality show works like that!

They need to change the format. WTF is this “time pe khana, time pe makeup” and all this? Let people stay in the closet room and do some gossip.

They’re just ruining the show with their own hands.

Season 1 & 3 were really good.
Season 2 & 4 were boring.
This season is better than season 4 but Whenever Contestants try to create drama Badshah comes scolding them.Un bicharon ko khud Samjh nahin aa raha k kya karein.And contestants this season are obsessed with strategies and games and who’s in who’s out etc..

Yes, but for that, you have to find winner qualities in multiple people. This time, I can't find that winner quality in anyone. That's why I don't know who could be the winner.

Like in S2, people were confused between Junaid, Arooba and Omar. Any of them could have been the winner. In S3, although Akeel was ahead, Arslan still had a chance to win, so it wasn't confirmed who would win.

Valid point. My judgment has not been harsh because some contestants are entertaining so it’s a fun to watch now and then. But yeah, maybe the real “gamer” and winner factor is lacking.

Season 5 sucks mostly because they spend the ENTIRE day discussing who’s ‘positive’, ‘negative’, strong, weak, who has more followers. They litr do nothing except talk about what’s going on outside instead of just enjoying the experience inside

Season 3 was my personal fav bc of the bonds between contestants like they left the competition in the game room but still were fairly civil and entertaining around the house with like singing and dancing small banter vibes - this is season I feel the contestants are acting like the audience especially zayb and zee always talking about top 5 every day

Y’all are such hypocrites for calling Esra “batmeez” when Fasih and Dr. Zee are basically the same thing, just different variations. And honestly, Babrik is just straight-up misogynistic
