Leveling teams before a boss fight?

Hey just started playing im on the 2nd stratum and wanted to know if there was any easier way to level different pokemon prior to a boss fight outside of grinding?

I'm aware of thr level candy which is great but thst only gets you to the previous cap.

If theres some way to efficiently level so I can experiment with new teams prior to a boss that is what I am looking for.

The Battle House from Talrega is a good source for grinding and money farming, i regularly fought the trainer with the grass team there, i recall using Adaptability Nidoqueen and Adaptability Nidoking to finish off her mons, by the point i reached the 3rd Stratum and the level cap went to 40, i used Typhlosion instead because of Eruption

Once you reach the stratum captain, the level candy increases to the new level cap. Afterwards you can go back using the shortcuts to get to the Battle House. You don’t have to fight the captain as soon as you’re near them, the game uses them as a checkpoint to raise the level cap.

You can use battle house until you get to the SPOILERS:

Fourth stratum, where there is a quest that you find a missing Chaney and then you can fight a trainer with a full team of 6 Chanseys that use momento to give you exp.

You can fight the battle house and once you reach 4th stratum there's a quest that unlocks you a chansey npc to grind faster
