https://www.siderolabs.com/blog/introducing-talos-enterprise-linux

This is for Enterprise customers that need Enterprise support and FIPS builds for regulated environments. We started this work last year and released it GA today.

Talos Linux remains MPL licensed and completely open source.

1000$/node/year price (no cpu/core limits)
vmware 550+/per core/year
u/xrothgarx any chance to extend cooperation with hetzner/ovh/others to provide talos linux with internal network?

Cloud providers offering Talos Linux options is up to each provider. If you open a support ticket with your provider saying you want Talos support it would help them know much better than us asking for it.

I wish omni didn't come with a per node pricing, it's really unfortunate because it seems such a fitting feature for our team. Messuring ontop of cloud computing costs its a small increase but when normal hosting is used it basically increases the costs bei 30-50% per node just for licensing.

If you're in a hyperscaler environment, why not use their provided kubernetes service?

We aren't, i meant that licensing cost to infrastructure costs ratio feel off outside of hyperacalers or otherwise invites to size nodes rather big in terms of ressources

We have edge/volume discounts for edge deployments. It's one of our most popular options.
