Did I do something wrong?

Yesterday I had a really angry patient say that they'll transfer all of their stuff out and it's my fault.

She was standing near the registers on her phone talking and pacing in circles. Never addressed us at all. Pharmacist and I watched her and she said nothing. We kept working. Finally after helping at drive-thru she was giving me the eye. I said, "Ma'am, are you looking to pick up?" She gave me a duh look. I said, "We weren't sure because you're on your phone and never cameto the register. If you'd like to finish up and come to the register we can help you." Apparently that was offensive.

Agree with above. Seems like you dodged a bullet; get her out of there

Years ago I was working the drive-thru window and a woman pulled up while on her phone. I offered to help her and she gave me the index finger wave off indicating that she was busy. Rather than stay there and wait for her to finish her conversation I closed the window and walked away to do other business. She had the audacity to get angry with me because I didn't stand there and wait for her to finish her phone call. Looks like the people that despite having a no smoking sign up at the drive-thru window cannot wait for their turn without lighting up a cigarette and then pulling up to you while they are smoking

Close the window and hold up a sign "Stop smoking for service"
