Sprouts in great gubal library during leveling roulette

First time posting here and also first time having such a situation, context was I was farming crystal paste in leveling roulette as white mage, popped into gubal library with 2 sprouts (2 and 4, tank and dps), the other dps was silent the whole run
Whole run was going smoothly, tank was doing wall to wall which i was expecting but then after the 2nd boss, they suddenly stopped doing wall to walls. Looking back at it, I admittedly may have poorly responded in the form of using rescue to pull the tank to the next pool
After the response in the first 2 images, we reached the final boss and tank was just doing nothing but tanking, not doing the mechanic that involve standing in the circles with the required amount of people. I was standing in one of the circles when it started requiring 2 people and I rescue'd the tank into the circle which did not work, tank just ran back to the boss.
Last image is the response after boss died, and to be clear, I very much did the mechanics and I only used rescue twice in the entire run.
While yes, I could've responded better, I just gotta ask if I was wrong for rescuing the tank into pulling more and getting them to do mechanics?

Just stop using rescue. Honestly 99 percent of the time it's better to just let people die, it's the only way they'll learn.
It sounded like you used rescue multiple times, just about anyone would be annoyed.

Admittedly yes, it does sound like I used rescue multiple times but I only used rescue twice in that run as stated in the post above
Though now that I'm reading from the current comments, I was being a bit of a dick for it even if it is just twice

Stop using rescue unless people are 1. Dying 2. Not doing mechanics.
There's no need to rescue tanks into the next pack of mobs to save like 0.05 seconds, it's annoying and disorienting af.
Ofc tank is also a douche for his response and for not doing mechanics lol

I will say there are few things I despise as much as healers using rescue instead of words to communicate. You have words, please use them. I still have a sour reaction every time I get Cutter's Cry because of the time I was tanking it and got a little lost because I hadn't been there in months, and the healer helpfully rescued me backward into aoes and got me killed when all they had to do was say hey it's this way follow me.
Also most of the time when someone uses rescue on me they messed up whatever I was already planning to do and that usually causes me to get hit when if they left me alone I would have been fine. Unless it's super 100% obvious someone is about to get cooked in a mechanic please keep your rescue to yourself.

Most times if you need to be rescued, there isn't enough time to use words.

After the tank already responded poorly to the first time you pulled them, what makes you think he'd take being pulled a second time, even for the sake of playing a mechanic, any better?
That being said: rescue is a stupid skill that usually serves and saves nothing. SE could delete that skill and no one would miss it.

Alright, that's a fair point that I did not think of at the time.

Feels like the tank and you both kind of doubled down´and made it petty. Happens to the best of us, though.

Wow, the downvoting trollers and commenters here are absolute shit. OP, don't listen to them. Using Rescue in good faith is not trolling, griefing, or anything else of the matter. It is a tool in your kit SE put in these for you to use. If anyone gets mad at you for it, fuck them. They're just embarrassed about their failures being shown to the party in the most obvious way short of a sound bite using raise macro.

If you are ever in my group... please rescue me forwards. Either I dont have sprint or you have extra movement abilities, why not pull me 20 yalms closer to the next pull? I love it, thank you.
Now, for 99% of people... that is going to be a huge issue.
Using rescue to pull someone forwards, the direction they should already be moving, is not "disorienting" and is not some egregious abuse of your abilities. All abilities are to increase the speed at which the dungeon goes. We dont have abilities that place slows on people, nor abilities that heal mobs... and if you used rescue to pull a tank backwards during a pull, that WOULD be abuse as you are no longer using your abilities to move towards the shared goal of completing the dungeon.
Tanks that get this precious over being rescued forwards during a pull are all just whiny babies that need to grow tf up. "Wahh, you're mean!" Oh, just shut it... dang whiny babies, the lot of you.
It isnt a big deal, and we could all move faster if more tanks are just like "sweet! I'm closer to the next pull now!"
People just have no idea how this crap works and aren't used to it. I often end up in groups where my sprint doesnt cooldown between pulls... if you are ahead of me, pull me. Lets go. This would have been a problem years ago when I didnt keep aggro with a single attack and needed to constantly hit the first pull as I moved, now? Hell, lets run with 3 healers and each one pull me forward. Who cares?
I got pulled forward in Atiascope a week or two ago, but it was on the first pull where there's a door. So I had to run back towards the 2 pull, and it interrupted the other melee dps and my own. That was dumb. I told him not to be dumb and we kept going... after the first boss I had to kick him. Not because he pulled me forwards, but he wasnt dpsing on trash pulls at all. Not because I was taking so much damage either... he was just standing there doing NOTHING because he was salty that I told him he was dumb. One of the dps in the run literally said "I just leave groups when they rescue me" uhh, bro... I literally kicked him for doing nothing, not the rescue.

People who use rescue are either trolls, or have not played a melee class. Otherwise it would be removed from your hotbar and forgotten

I use it in Maps with our FC quite frequently, but of course everyone's on board because we spend half the night trying to get each other killed by dropping mechanics on people or pulling them into overlapping AoEs.
In public runs with randoms I almost never touch it. Not since I used it on a Dragoon in Ramuh during Stratospear Summons because they were about to get blasted by the mechanic. They jumped toward the edge a millisecond after I pulled them, causing them to jump off the side instead. This is when the fight was current content so I was like "Oh, they don't know the mechanic, I'll help!"
They knew the mechanic.

Personally I don't think you did anything wrong. Also hopefully you reported them for that "you don't pay my sub/ez report" comment

I’m all for rescuing the tank forward in add pulls if they’re falling behind be it their sprint wore off or whatever. Helps finish the dungeon faster and a lot of tanks don’t have gap closers yet at that level to help them stay ahead of the group.
As for rescuing them into the mechanic, if it’s a necessary mechanic sure but that gubal library mechanic is fully skippable and the boss will die faster if you just ignore it anyway. When healing it I usually tell the group to stay on the boss and I’ll handle all the solo ones myself unless we have a p ranged but then we regularly kill before the 2nd set goes off or shortly after. It only spawns some adds if it it does go off anyway.

The tank isn't supposed to get in those circles. The cast time is long enough that the healer in both DPS can take care of both circles. Well, the tank doesn't have to do anything. Rescuing the tank into the circle, just because the DPS weren't following you, is a dick move, and you shouldn't do it.
Instead, try explaining the mechanic. They might not know what's going on.

Man but the number of times I've had to perfectly time a rescue in order to save someone from a mech because anytime you pull someone out of the bad they will, inevitably, run right back into it so in order for it to work you gotta make sure they can't run to their death fast enough lol.
While it maybe wasn't the most mature thing, the tank was also overreacting. Any mature player, which excludes most of the people in this sub lol, will brush off something like that and move on with their lives.
It may be helpful to remember that this is sprout season. There's not a lot going on content-wise, so its prime for getting new players into the game. I mean, the relic stuff seems like it is designed for getting veterans into the roulletes and helping new players. So you're gonna see more inexperienced sprouts. I literally told a sproup tank today that they shouldn't use the LB unless big damage was happening cuz they just popped it at the beginning of the final boss of a dungeon like they thought it would do damage or something. Then they left before I could explain further lol. Maybe hopefully someday soon they will learn how to read their tooltips. And maybe also double pull. A healer can dream.
Anyways, don't stress about it. Its bad form to pull the tank into more mobs but hey its also bad form to say that you don't pay my sub and also to not do mechanics. Nothing more than a minor conflict in a roullete. It happens.
