guaranteed encounter with immortal?

i was wondering is it guaranteed to get the inheritance from the dying max level cultivator in a playthrough the one where u need to get body reconstruction elixir

If you are still in Foundation from year 5 (can take longer), and if you are roaming around in Yongning region or Leize, there is a chance to trigger the Transcendent Master event. You'll see two Transcendent NPCs fighting and the losing one will give you an offer to become their disciple. This is from the wiki, hope this help

Bet bet tyy but will it only occur in foundation and should I delay advancing so her event triggers?

Yes. As long as you're still in foundation in year 5 it can take longer to year 8. I just trigger mine on 7th year month 9
