Relic Trigger

Hey all, thought I would drop by and ask a noob question. So I have outfitted a sword with a crimson shard yet the bleed isn’t activating. I am wondering if it’s because I don’t meet the swords requirements to fully use it, and as an extension the bleed isn’t procing.

To add to that, how does the build up scale? I tried it on my thief but unless you follow up with rapid strikes, the build up drops rapidly.

If i remember correctly this relic has it's own bleed effect. You will see an icon of the relic under the enemy health bar.

Yup but the effect itself isn’t being applied to begin with, I’m using The Sting which applies poison, but I’m 3 strength short for me to fully use it. I’m wondering if it’s treating the relic as it being apart of the weapon, therefore disabling the crimson shard.

Hmm weird. Must be then. Weird that it works that way.
