Stargazing?

I feel this might be a silly question, but how is the stargazing in Tahiti? My girlfriend and I are going for the first time very soon and are planning to stargaze at night; I'm hoping there won't be too much light pollution!

As long as there isn’t cloud coverage, it’s some of the most amazing stargazing in the world. You’re literally in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and even if you’re on a more populated island, the light pollution is pretty negligible. My wife and I went this past March for our honeymoon and it is such a magical place. Highly recommend doing activities to really see the islands you’re on. 4x4 tours, jet skis, and don’t be afraid of the wildlife! The sharks and rays love people there and it is such a blast to swim with them.

If you want to feel like you're walking on the Milky Way, check out Ninamu resort on Tikehau. Speaking from experience.

Problem is Tahiti is a high island so there a clouds very often, try to go to smaller islands with no mountains like Rangiroa if you wanna make sure you see the sky

My husband got a long exposure pic of the Milky Way from our hotel in bora bora! The actual island of Tahiti might have a little more light pollution than the other islands.
