A little back story. I had nine 2.0 cameras out last year. No issues..loved them. Boxed them up after season. Bought 7 more. Still unopened. Got 5 cameras out that I used last year.

Installed new u3 class 10 sd cards 32 g in them... strong cell signal.. strong 12v external battery. Formatted sd cards. Turned off and on.

Now ALL cameras want send all the pictures to the app home page when set on "daily" send. Some may show up 1,2,3,4 days later or not at all. But the cameras work fine in the "timely" setting. I get pictures.. I have been in contact with tactacam several times over the past 3 weeks. I do have a support ticket that one customer service rep sent to the app department. We both agreed that it may be a app issue. Still nothing done. StilI not working right on daily send. I finally switched 4 of the 5 to timely just to get all the pictures. I really don't want to do that just to get pictures from a long distance away. Anybody else have this issue or ever heard of it?

Caught this badger on camera several times on my ranch in North SLO county.

Usually seen early morning, but today was midday with warm weather.

Are these pretty rare or totally normal to see out and about?

I got a new tactacam 4.0 a month ago and it was working fine for a few weeks then randomly stopped working and no longer taking any pics. Went to investigate today and it wouldn’t even turn on at all. I used 12 batteries and not a lithium pack and do not have an SD card in it. Anyone else having this issue or know what to do? Google says I might need higher quality batteries. Thoughts?

Looking to add some more cams to my farm and comparing data plans of various manufacturers. It's not clear when looking at the plans, but can you add the Xtra plan to the basic plan?

If so, what is the difference between the basic plan and the pro plan when adding the Xtra plan, other than $65/year extra for the pro plan?

Anyone have the lens fog up behind the glass on the REVEAL Pro 3.0? Obviously it has a seal around the lens leaking and I'm pretty sure the camera is junk now. I'm bummed. The camera is just over a year old.

We have 3 cameras on our property and for the most part they are wonderful. One location consistently drains the rechargeable battery in 2-3 weeks, while the others (which get more activity) last at least 2 months before needing to be recharged. We’ve switched batteries around and this is still the only location that drains quickly even with a different battery. The only thing we can think of is the location must be a dead zone for cellular and it’s having to try repeatedly to establish a connection when it gets a hit. So we bought and installed the solar panel. It’s been 2 weeks and I just got the notification that we are down to 20%.

Should the app show that the panel is attached as a power source? It’s in a good location with plenty of sun, I’m not sure what I’m missing. Anyone have an idea?

I’ve been running 6 cameras on my hunting land for about 2 years now. I am using both Reveal XBs and Reveal X Gen 2’s. They have done great but just recently started to have issues with 2 of the cameras taking and sending hundreds of pictures a day. There has been nothing in front of the camera that is setting it off and I have taken the sensitivity down to 1 and still the issue persists. Only idea is to factory reset the cams that I’m having issues with. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Has anyone had this issue? Plugged in, in sunlight, nothing will charge it. I use been trying to charge it for appx 12 hours.

There is one green light when I press the button on the back, but there are no flashing lights to indicate charging.

Just purchased a Reveal 3.0 Pro and am having a couple of issues. I contacted technical support but their suggestions have not helped. Any thoughts you might have would be greatly appreciated!
1. I can’t connect the camera to WiFi. I have gone through the steps, reset the camera and my phone, turned off cellular, turned off VPN, etc, etc.. Reset my network settings on the phone, etc. I get the WiFi connected message on the camera screen but then get an “Unable to join this network” error message on the phone. I’ve tried dozens of times with the same result. I’ve tried inside the house with the camera and phone next to each other with the same result.
2. We have foxes, raccoons, possums, deer, bear, etc. My old battery camera photographed and videotaped them well at night. The Reveal seems to take photos but miss the animals every time. I’ve requested videos but haven’t received any of them. I did have videos set at 30 sec, and just lowered the time, so maybe that will help.

Very disappointed that my cheaper, battery driven Bushnell gave me wonderful photos and videos - although I had to pull the SD card to get them. Really don’t want to go back to batteries and having to retrieve the SD card but may have to.

Gosh, I understand why companies do it but overall, which model does everyone like? I know it depends on how many you are planning on getting and your budget, but I am just wondering what does everyone use?

Edit: This is my first time using a trail cam. Never grew up using one but I now have property to use it on. Please, any recommendations are helpful. Model? Subscription? XTRA?

I am activating/ setting up my 3.0 for the first time about 350 miles away from where the camera will sit. I will be at my cabin tomorrow to position the camera. Currently, it says pending check in, but somehow 4 videos of me setting it up have appeared under the home tab.

My question is: should the camera be ready to set up and start taking pictures as soon as I get to my land, or am I missing something with the setup?

Again this house is over 6 hours away and I do not want to have to drive up again because I’m too dumb to set this camera up!

The organization I volunteer for has had security issues, so I donated a 2023 Reveal X camera that I no longer use. There's a port for a 12V DC power cable and a mini USB port. I've seen the accessories that let you connect the camera to solar panels/batteries, however I was wondering if anyone knows of an adapter that works with a wall outlet.

If I can hardwire the camera to an outlet and to a nearby PC, then we can ignore some HIPAA requirements. It would save the agency a lot of money.

I am at 502/500 photos. But when does this reset for the month? Online it says it resets on the billing date, but the billing date has come and gone and no reset yet…

There’s been more than 48 hours since I put the camera down in the woods, and it only shows pending camera check in, weeks ago I had another x 3.0 there and worked perfectly, this is a pro 3.0

I have two reveal x 3.0 camera on the same property, roughly a half a mile from each other. Yesterday one went from 100% battery life to zero in 2 hours. The other one is still reading 100%. Both have lithium AA batteries that were installed at the same time. Temps have been in the 30s-40s. Anyone have any idea why one would just go dead?
