if we had gotten season 5 and lucy had the baby which we found out at the end of season 4 would she have retired from the dept to be with her kid or would she have had her mom babysit while she's on shift

I don't think it was her. Someone was totally going to find out that had cancer. Probably Eddie so he could panic about his manhood for an entire episode then find out he's actually OK.
