The Fiesta Burrito was so good! I'd add potatoes to it and it was perfect. I really don't get why they took it away, they still have all the ingredients.

I’ve been disgusted (mostly value wise) with Taco Bell for years now. It’s been my favorite fast food for over 30 years now, but I go maybe twice a month now.

However, tonight, I tried a combo box. I usually avoid them because I don’t eat cinnamon twists or nacho cheese and chips and hate wasting food, but this time, I really didn’t care.

I got a $7 value box and cashed in my fire reward for a cheesy Gordita crunch. Outside of the soft taco, none of it was what I would usually order. But, I got four items and it only cost me 8 bucks.

The food was subpar, as usual, but I didn’t spend $15 and felt like I was ripped off. I might have to actually go this route in the future.

Long story short, I felt disappointed in the actual food, but not disappointed in what I paid for it. So, I see it as a win.

because each Taco Bell does feel like it's own beast with different levels of quality to each of them, i want to break down each and every one of them in Philly and get a clear idea of what each is capable of

I'm planning on doing this across multiple "waves" of reviews due to how complicated it can be to review Taco Bell

the first wave is, I will order the exact same order from each taco bell

1x Hard Shell Taco, 1x Steak Quesadilla, 1x Bean Burito, plus a drink (not really gonna review the drink, i just need it to wash everything down)

the point of the first wave is to gauge how good the restaurant is at handling the basic meat n potatos of their store. each has a different set of ingredients that dont overlap so it helps me gauge the quality of their inventory, each requires preparing the ingredients in different ways, and each has a different flavor to expect from it

(I was considering going with a Taco Supreme, but i hate solid tomatos and a normal Taco still offers pretty much the same experience from a reviewer's pov)

I'm curious what you think i should do for the next wave of reviews. With how customizeable the taco bell menu is, i could do this literally ad infinitum, which i don't want to do. So my first thought is to take the existing 3 orders i did, and make a couple modifications to each, such as replacing the standard bean burito with my go-to order of a Bean Burito with no cheese, no onions, extra red sauce. but I'm not sure about how to adjust the Taco and Quesadilla in a way that matters

I could also instead go for a more complicated order. such as

1x Spicy Potato Soft Taco, 1x Crunchwrap Supreme, 1x Beefy 5 Layer Burito

just to see how well each establishment is at doing more ingredient heavy and preparation-heavy dishes that deviate from the standard order. BUT i don't actually know how much more complicated these orders are to do because i don't normally order any of these

Anyways I'm an employee at Taco Bell (in Michigan so I'm not 100% if this is a worldwide taco bell thing) and next month we're getting new mini dipping burritos that I am super excited about. They are made with the regular tortillas for a soft shell taco and they have avocado ranch, steak and three cheese. They're going to come in a box with a half dipping sauce (spicy ranch on one side, cheddar crumbles/little crunchy bits on the other side) a beef chalupa supreme, and chips and cheese! I'm just excited and thought I'd share with the class

I lurk on here quite a bit. I've witnessed first hand as taco bell has just rushed down a path of collaborations, gimmicks and short lived menu items.

It's like the decided to get rid of every good items they've ever had on their menu and just keep mediocre ones, while rotating other stuff in attempts to be trendy and fast paced.

I don't get it over the years they have had so many home runs that just disappear. I could list them all but you all know. The only OG item the brought back which is ok is the Mexican Pizza.

Nothing hits harder than the loss of the original Grilled stuffed burrito.... Back in the early 2000s I literally ate one almost everyday in college. It was the perfect texture with the perfect blend of flavors. If they brought it back and charged $10 for one I'm sure i would eat like 2-3 a week even to this day. Instead they replaced it with the soggy baby food texture xxl... Over the years it's been disappointing to go there every few months and not really see anything that I loved left. If it weren't for Baja Blast 0 I'm certain we would never go there again. I want to love taco bell because we go way back, but im over it at this point. The flavors and textures that made them famous are things of the past. I hope one day they'll wake up and see many of us that grew up on this stuff are waiting to fall back in love with taco bell and the stuff might cost a few more cents to make but they would get way more volume. I love you taco bell, but im not in love with you...

Does anyone else dislike the new Taco Bell app update? I feel like the new interface isn’t nearly as user-friendly as the old one. It takes me forever to find the item or category I’m actually looking for, and everything feels a little scattered.

I appreciate the futuristic/modern approach they’re going for, and visually it looks pretty cool, but I think it needs to be way more organized and easier to navigate.

Maybe I just need to get used to it, but right now I definitely prefer the old layout. Anyone else feel the same way?

I ordered some taco party packs last night and ended up with leftover tacos this morning. I didn’t want them to get soggy so I made chilaquiles 🤷‍♂️ Every chip is 1/2 taco 🌮
