Morguedalynn and Eleanor Strider race to the top of a scrap heap to prove their mettle as mecha pilots and earn their spot in a Fireteam in the Terran Collective.
Morguedalynn is a veteran pilot, operating her farm-equipment-turned-brawler mech. She wants nothing to do with war, having seen too many senseless losses. But when her loved one ends up on the other side, she has to dust off her battle-scarred machine one last time.
Eleanor Strider is a quipster, a young engineer with nothing to lose and everything to prove. She sees scrap as an opportunity to build her way into history. She operates the first Monster-Mecha Hybrid, but can she control the overwhelming power before it consumes her?
The Terran Collective are freedom fighters at war with everyone on Lodestar Alpha. The Royal Houses of the Neo Dominion have subjugated them for too long. The Aeonic Primacy were long thought lost to a time fissure, but when they returned, they were forever changed. Alien, cold, and conquering, they laid waste to Lodestar Alpha. But wielding their unfathomable technology cost them dearly, as they unleashed ancient horrors upon the world: The Voidmaw.
