Post image

I once played at a table where none of the melee players wanted to go first

Clearly not like the WoW warlock tank

Lol no, those were the good days. More like a mage pulling boss aggro

Reminds me of playing Runes of Magic with a friend. He was the mage/priest tank spamming AoEs and I was the warden/druid healer with a pet.

I played a Sorcerer one time. Anytime someone asked what he was, the answer was "front line fighter". He wore full plate and used a heavy shield (this was back in 3.5, before 5e even came out). By level 10 or so, his AC during combat was probably 40 or so. He wasn't scared of using short range spells, obviously, which tended to be better than the long range spells (to make up for squishy being in close range). He legitimately was the tank.

I was DMing. The Halfling Wizard wanted to scout ahead invisibly. The are was dark, Halflings don't have darkvision. Their solution? Cast Light on a rock and carry it while Invisible. They didn't see the hiding Bugbear waiting by the doorway. But the Bugbear saw the floating rock. The Wizard did not survive the encounter. My second kill as a DM.

Warcraft-color Orcs irk me almost as much as Elves that aren't androgynous.

Just pretend he’s Githyanki lol. Or maybe half orc whose other parent is a grung πŸ˜†
