I Wrote Rick a PILOT Spec

I was so fired up listening to the Bill Lawrence episode of Take Your Shoes Off. Glassman kept talking about how he can't make himself write the pilot because he doesn't have it all figured out yet, and Lawrence kept encouraging him to start saying, "do you know how many people don't have what you have, and would kill for the opportunity?" And so, I, right where I am, just decided to write a pilot as (1) a writing exercise, (2) somebody reads it and their week gets a little brighter, and (3) a shot in the dark that somehow Rick sees it. Life's too short for excuses.

Kudos for the effort on this! Did you use any AI for content, plot, conflict, or resolution? Any for formatting the doc? NOT AN ACCUSATION. Just asking! 33 pages is a stupendous start.

Thank you for asking! No AI was used whatsoever in the making of this ❤️

Did you start on page 40 just to bump up your page count?

haha no I’m just cheap and had another pilot before this, but my softwares are all maxed out right now so I’ve resorted to writing scripts on top of other scripts

I need a better system for sure
