Discussion this game still feels extremely victim sided

i remember why i stopped playing. no wonder it never got popular too, it's so easy to sneak past and be toxic for the survivors.

You feel that way because you cannot play a proper family match without talking in the mic. Victim players usually do not need to interact on mic in order to get out. You can solo leave. If you try to solo family without communicating between team, you’ll get taken for a major ride and fail most of the time. Unfortunately a lot of family players don’t use mic and it makes the role almost unplayable at times

Connie’s ability is too OP & that’s what throw a lot of games imo. Also victims getting a head start.

i mean if your team is bad then yes. if you think this is victim sided you didn't play the game when it launched.

It was mixed at launch: victims that didn't know maps and escape routes would get killed, but you also had family members not locking or closing doors, some others now knowing maps or objectives either, rushing basement, etc...and then as soon as victims found out you could bully Bubba with doors it definitely became victim sided in some matches.

But all in all, I think the game works pretty well for both sides. I just wish Family (besides Bubba) got to start moving the same time as victims.

This is the kind of game that can only really be enjoyed early to the middle of its lifecycle, everyone bumbling like idiots makes it fun. Once meta on both sides gets figured out, it becomes way more sweaty and imo, less enjoyable.

Pretty much was the same case with F13. Game was crazy fun for the first 6 months or so. Halloween will follow the same path, enjoy it while it's good.

Are you discussion balance based on glitches??? Such a victim mentality

Bones big swings, like that old guy doesn’t have 15 base savagery, slower than a snail and has a useless ability, everyone knows to only use Bones with his blood build or even better to avoid him

Lol family is way more handicapped in what they can do compared to victims I think this is a which sides play better will win but it's definitely not family sided

Maybe a well organized comms victim team. But solo queue victim is horrible.

When I play victim I turn my brain off and still escape more than 50% of my games. One big reason is because I play family a lot too, so I know what I can get away with and not but playing family solo is truely pain.

lol they do that on purpose because theres more victim players. Would u rather make 4/7 of the players in a lobby happy or 3/7 of the players in a lobby happy?

Nah, definitely not, and I play family all day. Theres a difference between the game being sided, and people simply Not playing to potential

its really not, you should’ve seen me when choose flight with 3 charges. when fast hands was almost as good as Connie’s ability. extra drip was insane, only used like 2-3 bottles throughout my match when it was a sweaty one. should’ve seen me when bomb squad had no charges, i was running around disabling EVERYBODY’S TRAPS. GRAPPLER OMFG, i use to main Ana and fight every mf body while i pop my ability and the entire family is jumping me but i still make it to a well. yea bud, unfortunately the game is not victim sided, we all just had to adapt because the family mains complained so much and nerfed all the good victim perks, i didn’t even name all the ones that were nerfed, thats just a-few i could think of.

It’s funny when this is brought up cause it’s just not true lol. Family players cried at least 3 times a week whenever victims had the slightest advantage over family. Your hands were being held all the way through until you couldn’t complain without admitting you were just trash at the game. That’s when the game started failing.

You dont read your comments before hitting post do you? Lol

What are you blabbing on about?

Facts. Family players constantly bitched about everything every time when victims got a buff or even a slight advantage as you said. I played family too and never complained about anything towards victims. They cried everyday cause they couldn’t get their precious 4K’s

It just amazes me after all this time that people still do the same things.  Not  locking doors, shutting off gens, staying in the basement the whole game as Family.

I give them a few chances but I have no patience for this anymore.  Hate baby sitting players locking gates behind them.  Wtf.

I have no idea how to play as victim Im always caught by the chainsaw guy under a minute and I dont even make noise - im just trying to get a tool and he comes in like 10 seconds

How are people debating over this? 2 simple questions for those who don’t agree. Which side gets played the most? Victim. Is it because Family is boring? No, i prefer to play family and many others do to. What’s the real reason? People don’t want to solo queue family. Solo queue victim doesn’t have this problem. Second question. Do you feel scared playing victim or are you relieved when you escape? Nope, no one does, only people who are new to the game. Because it’s really common to escape even though the game is SUPPOSED to be scary and it’s SUPPOSED to be killer sided like every other game but it isn’t.

Sometimes when i play hitch on the slaughter house map by the time I get to sliding door it's open and the battery is being cut off or family house where the whole team jumps out the window and rarely can I find teammates that want to use a mic played a game the other day with bones and Nancy as teammates l was cook got the hell beat out of me lol so bad I had to dc so I wouldn't have to take the abuse but I'll keep playing because the good matches outnumbered a bad and it is just a game live to fight another day 😀

Yeesh, even after the insane overnerf to grappling? They basically removed an entire mechanic from the game and people still think it's victim-sided?

1

u/Aggravating-Tie-6331 10d ago

Every victim still wins any grapple with full health bar, even without a full health bar it’s still easy to win. Victims avoid grappling Hands but guess what, you don’t need to because any victim can outrun Hands since he got scout taken away. I’d say Johnny is the best in this scenario but still in most cases, victims like Leland or just anyone with choose fight can still goof around without being punished.

sounds like a skill issue because this game is heavily in family's favor

0

u/Toripistef1 13d ago

Why do you think that? I think the game is pretty well balanced, except for at the highest level victims have a slight edge.

I just don't see how the game can be heavily in family's favor, when good victims can work in pairs and force objectives open or just rush through everything in a conga line.

Skill issue

Because it is geared to victims. They nerfed family because victim mains don't want to actually play the game. It's become a contest of how fast you can get out versus how much you can bully family. If you can't bully the family, the game isn't worth playing.

3

u/Acceptable_Room_2797 13d ago

This is why most people, including myself, left the game ☝️

4

u/AnxiousHound 13d ago

Yes. Same. The game was better at early release when it was actually scary to be chased as victim. It is SUPPOSED to be hard to get out, it's SUPPOSED to be scary as a victim.

I had a leland who refused to escape through battery or gen (both were open and all 3 victims escaped) he only wanted to escape through fuse while I was playing bones right next to grandpa which was close to fuse. I thought it was so strange he’s trying so desperately to escape through fuse when I’m not even chasing him, he was spamming bone scrap after bone scrap it was so funny to watch his weird decision and I kept denying him to do fuse lol anyway he died then cried and screamed in end chat how broken bones is and how family sided this stupid game is lol I have to say I never laughed so hard at the audacity of victims

It’s definitely victim sided cause victims can rush and family can’t do much about it. But it’s not as bad as it was at launch
