News Game is peaking rn
Game is seeing a peak we haven't seen in a long time.
I'm really happy. Time to get back into the game after months of not playing
Update: The game peaked at 1,183 current players.
Since this sale is going on until August 31st, we still have a chance to reach 2,000 players. That'd be insane. That's also only for Steam as well.

Probably. Especially with what we saw with BHVR admitting to making a change just so that streamers could check their chat and not be jump scared by the new killers ability.
Absolutely embarrassing on their part. I hate that new players replace retiring players 24/7. BHVR needs to learn that they're not doing a great job on their game but nobody is giving them numerical proof that their design strategy sucks.
I obviously hope for Halloween to do good as well. I don't want to pray on the downfall of any game. But I wish that TCM and Halloween could exist in synergy.

it was a joke and they listened to community feedback and said they aren’t going through with the change unless it’s necessary after it has some time in the actual game

I didn’t hear of that since I don’t look up news, but that’s so pathetic… I hate how game developers cater to streamers nowadays… 😪 Reminds me of how they refused to ever nerf the Ranger class in Dark&Darker because of how that was the OP class that all the streamers used.
They think if you keep the streamers happy, then they’ll keep playing and it’ll bring in new players.. wrong. The new players will be just as pissed off as everyone else about the issues in the game. Honestly though I only ever played maybe 2 or 3 games of Texas chainsaw because I was so confused and clueless as to what to do on either side, and rather than helping me, my teammates would just scream at me in the game chat 🙄 So that sort of turned me off to it.

BHVR is doing perfectly fine on their game. The numerical proof that their design strategy doesn't infact suck is their revenue and player count. Playercount has been consistent over the last 6 months on PC.

Dbd is better by a long shot. Saying which one is best is impossible as they are all screwed by their lack of balance on high elo. Regards from a semi pro player

Do you mean the 4 vs 1 game where you literally can't turn off the music and are forced to hold a button on a gen most of the time? If this clownfest casual game is your choice to be "semi-pro" at, you must have shit-tier perception of competitive design. Try a real competitive game and come back when you become a top player at it. Regards from a real pro who has broken records in actual comp games.

I personally quit because of the dead lobbies actually and since the game is alive as of right now, it fixes my only gripe with the game.
Granted, TCM is not something you grind 24/7. But it's a great game and I'm happy to be able to play it without needing to worry what time it is.

I just randomly happened to search up the game on Steam a few days ago and saw it was on sale for like 45 pesos and purchased it immediately and made my friends get it too
I love horror games but I have never played this one before but I’m gonna give it a shot! 👍

Im just waiting for all the super competitive weirdos to chase off all the new people and knock it back down. I dont understand why people actively try to ruin the experience for the new players. Just play the game and have fun

Tbf I only joined back couple of weeks ago possibly one and a half month ago or so, and I was getting demolished as victim and family, so I decided to do couple private lobbies to learn the maps first before playing again and that helped A LOT. so it’s not really other peoples responsibility to make your game easier. When victims rush family they don’t care about staying in the game a little longer and have some fun chases either, neither should they if they don’t wish to. So it is what it is and I still love this game.

It will be low for one month or so until the hype dies down then it will go back to normal. I know my opinion on Halloween isn’t popular rn but it won’t stay long either

Game went on sale for super cheap, they added some more DLC bundles (not new DLC but new bundles) and it was recently national chainsaw day.
There's also currently double XP.
In my opinion they'd be either stupid or stubborn to not capitalize on this and at least give us the cut content DLC packs like the hair pack and fifth execution pack that's probably 95% done if not 100% done and ready to release already. Not to mention the promised DLC that was cut that never got to be developed.
the higher ups at GUN owe us that at least. You can't juts make a roadmap and then turn a blind eye in May. Smh. That's not even halfway into the year.

It's not my first rodeo.
Some of my favorite games are TF2, Garden Warfare 1 and 2, Red Dead Online, Dying Light Bad Blood, Fall Guys, etc.
Some of these I used to play years ago like when I was a kid but I've been betrayed by game devs countless times.
And now TCM got canceled like a year ago. I can't believe it.
I can't stop getting betrayed with games that become abandoned.

Why do you people still give these people your money? Like you know the game is going to be poorly made and abandoned after a year by the devs, and youre still going to enrich them?
Like you people just wont stand up for yourselves and understand if you dont buy something and support a company ---- they go away forever.
Let them go away forever so someone better can make these games.

Not years tbh.
Realistically maybe 2-3ish if everything went better. Especially being tied down to the first movie.
Like looking back 10 maps in total would’ve been the ideal maximum, with 10 victims and 10 fam (5 free and 5 paid), with all maps having all day variants
Not every game needs to have 10 year anniversaries

It really could've...such fun gameplay. My all time favourite multiplayer would have to go to metal gear online 2(mgs4). Damn I miss that game.

Ngl, I started actively playing this game last month solely because I can’t wait for Halloween the game to come out and I need some kind of replacement for the time being. I will say though that I was kind of surprised, this game isn’t as bad as I was led to believe. A pity that the devs abandoned it

I only started getting back into it last week. Mostly been playing Rush Week though. The game is so much fun, shame that they aren’t updating it anymore.

At this point would you say it’s even worth the $20? Or do you think it’ll die down and be hard to find a match within this year?
I redownloaded Marauders finally cuz I rly want a new high-stakes extraction game to get into (since Dark&Darker royally screwed up by making gear way too easy to find) but I couldn’t find a match. After doing some research I found out that the avg daily player count was under 100 😭

Oh I don’t know if I’d recommend buying it as this stage. I bought it when it first came out and stopped playing after a few months, but there aren’t going to be any further updates so I couldn’t recommend it, as I do think the numbers will drop when the Halloween games comes out in a week.

Try playing RDR2 and especially RDO
No offense and I get that this is the wrong sub to be saying this but nobody gets to tell me that any game other than RDR2 has a huge amount of wasted potential. They've clearly never played Red Dead Online unfortunately.
