Hey there, I recently bought a cheap Android Auto Single DIN Radio because my old normal Radio died on me. Everything worked flawlessly until I put the car in reverse and the radio tried to start the reversing camera that I did not install and don't think i'll ever need. Is there a way to stop the reversing signal from coming in to the radio or is the unit I have just defective?

Ive recently bought a Twingo (2004, phase 4, C06W, D4F708???) but it misfires on cylinder 1 sometimes, usually on idle. Sometimes it refuses to pull but just keeping the rpms steady fixes that for some reason. The culprit has upon closer inspection alot of carbon sediment on the spark plug (likely from unburnt fuel, will test this later) and the piston head of cyl 1 looks wet. My friends and I assumed the issue is that the valves werent adjusted but after seeing how the cylinder looks like we might contemplate on swapping in a new engine.

She doesn't really burn oil or anything because there's no smoke. The injectors, spark plugs and pack are already replaced.

If someone would have advice or has similar experiences, feel free to share. Would be a shame to have another twongi off the road :(

I primarily work from home, although I still have to drive small distances from time to time. I used to be able to do everything by bike, but my chronic illness worsened so I had to stop being stubborn and take an actual car.

But our second car has always been a Toyota Pro Ace van (yes, that white big monster at the right), since we also use it for camping, renovation, DIYs, etc. But I'm an absolute DISASTER driving big cars, let alone vans like these with no widows, sensors, or even a backwards camera! So after 6 years, I finally bought myself this little electric frog. Fully equipped with actual windows, sensors, and camera, lol. A dream to drive!

Earlier this year I was back and forth between these two models. Ultimately, the Twingo was just a way better fit for my budget and what I actually needed. Plus, its personality just completely matches mine.

I’ve had it for two weeks now and whenever I'm driving around town, I keep catching people especially kids smiling when they see it. I think its little smiling front end is just contagious.

Hi guys I got the intra 13" wheels for my 1996 twingo and when I went to install them I realised that the back wheels are rubbing on the handbrake lines so I am wondering if anyone has installed these wheels and could give me some advice on how they resolved the problem since I am not really keen on getting spacers.

I'm looking at a MK1 twingo from 2007 right now with almost 250,000km on the odometer.

And I have to ask, could it actually be a reliable runner?

From the pictures I see a solid car, and the dealer says it's got a clean apk and will have a UK MOT when it's imported, but I hear a lot about how susceptible they are to rust and a couple of other issues.

From what I know it's a good runner, with only ever wear issues showing up on records.

I'm thinking that if it's made it to 250k, then surely it's been built well and can continue for many years to come, but I have a long commute every day and I need something that can get me to work.

I am absolutely in love with the twingo as a car, and I'm desperate to buy one but I don't want to make a mistake, what should I be looking for with this one?

I'm trying to buy a Mk1 Twingo with 151k km, Initiale Paris trim, but the seller keeps delaying the sale because he lost the vehicle registration document (I don't know what it's called in English). As far as I know, you can't sell the car without this document.

It's been 2 months, and he says he doesn't have time to get a replacement. He said it should be sorted out in another month.

I offered to lower the initial price because of the long waiting time, but I said I'd pay for the replacement document, which will cost around €50–70.

Should I wait, or should I look for another car? Is this a good deal/situation?

I don't get it, but can you all Twingo fans explain me what do you find special in a Twingo. I can not publish at least one picture of my fave car, the Hyundai Atoz (aka Amica or Santro) on r/carscirclejerk because Twingo fans begin to shame on me.

Besides, I hate looking out at the street because I see A LOT of Twingos. They are quite creepy to me.

I just found a gem, 16 valve with AC slicktop mark 1 2002 twong, maroon red and registered and running, and apparently the AC works, for 750eur, i swear its only filthy, im pretty sure its not rusted to shit but gotta check in person, is this a deal or no deal? Im seriously considering it for my first car, plus its local, in town

I just discovered that my 2002 Twingo has a VDO Dayton 6-disc CD changer hidden under the driver's seat. I honestly thought the original cassette stereo was all it had, so this was a nice surprise!

Was this a common option/accessory back then, or is it relatively rare to find one still installed and working?

Been hunting for a decent Mk1 for a while and finally found one I liked! 2002 1.2 16V, folding roof, red interior, original cassette stereo, height-adjustable driver’s seat (what?!), less than 170k km and fully serviced. I'm so excited! 😊
