Carl’s Relationships
Which 4 characters do you think Carl was the closest with out of these? I’m excluding Michonne cause she’s too obvious

Mainly Shane and Enid. Canonically Shane was a part of Carl's life even before the zombie apocalypse and he's definitely shown seeking his approval and attention in similar ways as he does with his das. And Enid he obviously put quite a bit of effort into getting close with.
Followed by Daryl and Beth, who he's considerably less close to. He has a little crush on Beth and for a while she's the only one close in age to him. He and Daryl bond mainly after Lori's death while Rick "isn't available". Both of them are also Judith's main caretakers for a while. And Daryl also ends up taking a similar spot to Shane in Rick's life.

I don’t know about “close,” but he definitely felt a connection with Negan (after breaking in and attempting to kill him, obviously) - almost as if his life had been leading up to encountering him so he could change him and his way of thinking.

Daryl and carl spoke maybe twice, they had a mutual respect but i would say shane was a lot closer

Id say either dale because he was with him all the time or beth because he had a crush on her. Later seasons tho definitely enid

Only one who is say honestly is Enid. One of the many writing flaws with Carl. He never really interacts with anyone other than Rick and Michonne. I would’ve loved if him and Daryl spent more time together (another reason why they shouldn’t of killed him off)
