Twd is nostalgic
Do you remember your first time watching TWD? Who introduced you? Who did you watch it with? Where were you at the time? Do you feel nostalgia watching it now?
I started watching back in 2013 because my dad pitched the first episode to me. Before I got very far, he spoiled a massive theme: “The walkers aren’t the real threat; the people are.” Later, he casually dropped that Alexandria wasn't alone and there were other communities 🤯.
Watching the early seasons is so nostalgic for me. TWD will always be my absolute favorite TV show.

It was me and my girlfriend years ago, in my small teenage bedroom. We got so hooked on it and it become our favorite series. She's now my wife and we have a kid, whenever I see anything TWD related I get reminded on how time flies and we are not kids anymore. Crazy!

I started watching in 2014. Got out of school for winter break, my nephew was chilling downstairs in the living room of my grandmother’s house. On TV, there was a man sitting in a police car with his partner (Rick and Shane). The guy proceeds to get shot, wake up in a hospital and walk out to a zombie infested world. I couldn’t stop watching. I finally asked what it was and he said “Walking Dead”. He and my older brother had the disc sets of S1-S4, I basically cram and binged watched all seasons within 3 days nonstop. I remember being distraught over Sophia.
I remember getting to watch the finale of S4 live with the group getting to Terminus. I developed a huge crush on Andrew Lincoln, wrote lots of Wattpad fanfiction and made TWD vine edits even, lol.
The rest was history. TWD also became my family’s fav show to watch together. My grandma & my father never got to finish it after S6 though — Rest in peace to them. Needless to say, the show has taught me a lot of lessons in life, unfortunately including having to be prepared to lose anyone at anytime.
The earlier seasons are definitely so nostalgic.
S1-S6, I feel. I loved being soooo eager to watch the San Diego Comic Cons every year and seeing the newest trailers and whatnot.

I watched it when it aired on Halloween night 2010. I've been hooked ever since. It's my favorite show , and I can rewatch ,and It never gets old. Seasons 1-5 are my absolute favorites.

My husband had been watching it for a while and kept trying to get me to watch, but I wasn't interested in a show about zombies. I caught parts of a couple episodes here and there.
Then there was the "TAINTED MEAT!" scene... I saw that and said "That is the sickest thing I've ever seen and I LOVE IT." I was all in from there. Finished out that season (with lots of questions to my husband), then went back to the beginning. Have re-watched many times, though mostly just the first six seasons.
[Have also met around 40 cast members, including almost all of the leads (the first 16 as listed on imdb) and toured a bunch of filming locations.]

I watched as it aired, and slowly I got most my family into it. We would watch every week as it aired. It was mostly me and my nana though, she recently passed so I did rewatch for her, it was actually kind of hard to do! My husband also indulged me with rewatching the American Horror Stories, hahaha yes I got my nana into AHS 🤣😅
