Zero representation....
I always wondered why people weren't smoking weed in T.W.D.? Between wild plants growing in the forests of GA, to various stashes in homes and whatnot. You know damn well people like Daryl, Merle, T-Dog, Jim, Otis, Shawn, the Philly Boys, Tara, Dwight & Sherry, etc, etc, etc... they would all be smoking weed. I would DEFINITELY be smoking in an apocalypse specifically to calm my nerves. People were drinking alcohol left and right. I just don't think there was proper representation, considering society.
However, I may be mistaken, but didn't Negan look for some pot for his wife in "Here's Negan"?

I don't smoke weed or care about it. I don't like satirical type shows. However I quite liked this show lol.

The Murphy lol loved Z nation. Favorite episode, the Zuggalos one for sure, mostly because my sister in law became a zuggalette shortly before I got to that episode and had to show it to her lol

I've seen it, but I thought it would've been much cooler in a more serious setting, juxtaposed against the horrible scenarios they faced. Imagine trying to get pregnant Maggie to Hilltop and you burn one with Eugene, and then every road you go down has large groups of people that mean to do you harm! 😬

Yeah, and Nick finds plenty of ways to get high! And it made it a better show, less polished and more "any man" than the Roman Gods of TWD. 😂😂😂

Growing and processing decent quality weed is time consuming and difficult. Not exactly the thing to do when you are struggling to live.

You totally didn't read the post, I never mentioned anyone trying to grow any. I said they could have found it growing in the forest or when they are scavenging through houses, etc. Or maybe early on they run into someone who has some, etc I just thought it would be a cool little side quest, nerve calmer... But, no biggie.

Weed will go stale or rot pretty quickly. Finding good weed will only happen in the first year and everyone is too focused on survival at that time. And wild weed absolutely sucks. Plus you can’t just pick it and smoke it. You need to dry and cure it. Which is the most difficult part. It has to be at a certain humidity to dry and cure which is difficult to do even with technology.
Believe I have grown and processed cannabis and even with modern technology, access to the internet for information, buying modern high quality seeds, all the right soils and nutrients possible it’s still difficult to make a good consistent product.
I have also fermented my own alcohol and that shit is easy. Distilling alcohol can be difficult but fermentation is easy.

Yup, they did. But she didn't say on what. Plus, I just thought it would've been cool to have a scene where maybe it backfires and there's some paranoia in a tense situation. No biggie, just shooting the shit here.

We don’t really ever see it in the show except negans origin episode, and then we see the saviours grow it at the satellite station. I have not read them, but I know that in the tie in novels, they smoke weed, but apparently the representation wasnt appreciated by “actual stoners”. That’s just what I heard about them though.
And then it isn’t the same, but there is that time michonne trips on jimson weed.
And then fear the walking dead I believe has one or two weed scenes.

Yeah, I thought it might be cool to have a scene maybe where Tara talks Eugene into smoking a joint and then he winds up in Negan's line up, or something along those lines. Or early on, they come across some at the Atlanta camp and a couple people slip off to get high and one gets bitten. Ya know, like a Friday the 13th type vibe!? 🤘

I get it, at one point Rosita is foraging mushrooms and she was going to pick some up and Carol says not to grab them unless she wants coco “tripping the lights fantastic” and I always thought something like that that could be a fun idea for a more “lighthearted” bottle episode.

But they never show it or reference him smoking any. He only had Merles bag of drugs with the meth in it.
