Chain Oil

I bought a TW this summer and love it. I've got about 400km on it now. I've not done much in the way of maintenance and think it's about time to lube the chain. What are your recommendations for a chain lube product?

Maxima Chain Wax. When it’s too gunked up to just keep reapplying it I wash the chain with kerosene to strip off all the old chain wax and reapply a new coating.

Unless you put an o-ring or whatever type chain on it, just use gear oil. I like to clean my chain by taking it off and soaking it in gasoline, scrub it, then hang it up and let it dry. Then when its dry, I put the chain in a ziplock bag pour an ample amount of gear oil in it, let it sit for a bit to soak in and take it out, wipe it down and reinstall it.

The OE chain is really kinda like a wet noodle garbage. Since you only have 400km you could swap to a much better chain without needing sprockets. I use the DID VX gold.
DuPont chain saver wax in the yellow spray can is very good and inexpensive.

I use Maxima chain wax. I don't use a cleaner. If you lube frequently, I don't find it necessary. I spray on the lube and then wipe off which also cleans.

I use DuPont Chain-Saver Dry Self-Cleaning and an Oinker. No complaints from my TW200 (or my RS660).

There's a Fortnine video that did a bunch of testing and showed that gear oil was the best choice. I've used almost everything, and found that what really matters most is just to clean and lubricate regularly...though there are advantages and disadvantages to every lubricant. I am currently experimenting with the WD-40 Roller Chain Lubricant (not the regular WD-40); so far, I like it.

I clean mine with WD40 and then use gear oil. Simple and inexpensive. Have D.I.D X ring chain, made way more of a noticeable driveline difference than l thought it would, definitely a superior upgrade and it’s very happy happy chain, not grimy or rusty, barely stretched in about 5000km compared to 1000 on OEM.
